I’m so sorry for troubling you, but may you do me the favor of pointing out where? I tried looking for where you said it, but I must be blind as I cannot see it. (This isn’t accusing you, I just read through your posts multiple time trying to find it. Evidently I’m blind as a bat.)
I wasn’t trying to sound indignant… I’m sorry. And I see what you mean now.
I think I must’ve turned your post into something other than it actually was upon considering it further. Thank you for getting me out of that, and I apologize again.
I’m going to be real and state that I don’t really feel any malicious people right now.
You accuse me of using a generic tell, and yet here you are using a generic response to someone using a generic tell, when in fact I had made no specific accusation in the first place!
You criticize me for not doing " but is there anything that makes her certainly a wolf doing it?"
And yet- I quite literally did that in my post as I qualified that it is too early to tell if it’s actually wolfy and not just a town that is shying away from combat.
It is beginning to feel like you are telling on yourself here by accusing me of using generic responses, when you yourself are using a generic response accusing people of using generic responses.
I want to fight because I revel in combat, I brought a gun, I am here to fight! You do not strike me as town. Your reactions to me have felt superficial. Your read into Estelle, while initially appeared good, turned out to be superficial as it was simply caused by a misunderstanding of who Estelle was talking about.
And the thing is - I didn’t actually like Estelle’s response - I thought you pretty clearly criticized parts of her post that were clearly about Atlas and not Luna - but you dropped the push at the drop of a hat and instead pivoted back to me.
As for overwhelming the thread - it is rather ironic that you wished to avoid the spotlight and yet I have thrust your straight upon it!
Let me have a brief rundown on what your thoughts on people are then? Not asking for an essay on anyone, just brief impressions to get a semblance of where your head’s at if you will
Uh, just to clarify, I responded to what she said after the fact and even then, they weren’t really good points. I thought she dropped it because she realized that the bulk of her argument didn’t rlly have merit when she realized I was talking about luma and not atlas
Yes, I dislike how the conversation dropped since there were parts of Estelle’s post that were quite clearly and explicitly about Atlas, and Era was criticizing them - but Era also just let them go as soon as Estelle claimed it was just a miscommunication - like, yes, that can explain a part of the suspicion, but what about the rest? Where is the desire to dig more and fight??
I’m confused as to what you mean by your second paragraph. Not paying attention isn’t necessarily scummy, but it can sometimes be indicative of someone that has pre-made conclusions and isn’t actually thinking about the critically. Which… unfortunately also isn’t necessarily always coming from scum. But it does come from scum more often than town, even if town do it too sometimes.
I don’t know what you mean by them asking for clarification.
The reason to scumread Luna was because I was looking to pick a fight and I felt that Luna’s townread on Atlas was pretty thin. Luna’s initial townread was admittedly and clearly an early game read aimed to get things going, and my response was then an early game accusation also looking to get things going and was rather hyperbolic. There was reasoning, but I have moved on as soon as more substantive matters arose. I don’t have much of a read on Luna anymore.
More time early is better. F3/F4 lategame doesn’t need a full 40 hours. People already have their minds largely made up.
Yeah, I know. But then you said you misunderstood them and unvoted. So, my understanding is that any case you had on Estelle went poof, right? Because at least in your mind, voting Estelle no longer made sense.
As far as Atlas goes, he says:
“Number 98 is actually when my suspicions arose because the defense was not to state on the more correct things mentioned, or other suspicions, but specifically to target the one mistake Era made in their reading of the post. (Which wasn’t the majority of the read as far as I understood.)”
That’s a long-winded way of saying “I think Estelle didn’t properly address all of Era’s concerns and instead pointed out a small mistake.” If Atlas were correct, your scumread on Estelle should have enough reason to justify keeping your vote there, but it didn’t, so you unvoted.
So, my problem was that if your case on Estelle no longer made much sense because you misunderstood (and unvoted) how can it suddenly have more ‘merit’ just because Atlas votes for Estelle?
The only way any of that dynamic makes sense is if:
- I actually am missing more content of your case against Estelle (I’m probably not, because again, you unvoted.)
- You just really wanted to vote Estelle and Atlas’ vote gave you an opportunity to. Plus it would make them not suspect you and you’d both be on the same wagon voting against Estelle.
I’m hungry.
Felt like Juliet was town when reading through their posts. Drak’ar not continuing to dig into you and heel turning onto someone else is what I was expecting if they were town. You yourself gave me reason to believe you were town when you started to consider a nuanced world view. I sort of understand where Drak’ar is coming from, and I’ll see where it goes, but I did have Era as town in my mind before they started to push. All these thoughts are why I feel like there isn’t rlly anyone malicious in the thread right now.
I follow
You found my response to the pressure on you nuanced in a mildly towny way. What might you have expected wolf!me to have done?
Perhaps I am biased - but why do you read Rune’s push as bad-faith?
My first thought was that wolf you would have grabbed onto something I said and tried to paint me in a bad way. I was actually expecting for scum to focus on my slot D1 as I have a rather annoying power if scum want to do anything.
I quite like Rune, Juliette and Atlas so far
There are lots of annoying powers, why do you expect scum would try to pressure you in particular? Do you see scum teams often trying to pressure players they want gone?
It’s a risky strategy because if there’s a power you want gone, then pressuring the slot risks putting them in the PoE causing them to just live to lategame without there ever being a good time to actually nightkill the slot if they don’t succeed at actually pushing the slot over. Do you actually see scum teams doing that rather than just night killing them?
I would argue that the parity cop is much more annoying anyway.
Err, you make a good point. I was extrapolating about what scum would do based off what I would do if I was mafia. There are a lot of other powers that are also annoying, and pressuring people solely cause of their power is probably not how most people play.
Votecount
Estelle (3): Juliette, Atlas_OS, Era
Era (2): Rune, Drekar
Luna (1): Estelle
Drekar (1): Luna
Not Voting (5): Ai.Mi, Dubu, Juno, Kai_OS, X
So does your response to Luna still stand? Since if that’s actually not how scum are likely to play, then your idea of what you would expect scum to do isn’t actually what scum would be doing. A rather poor predictor for scum then, isn’t it?
It was more of a complimentary response rather than an exclusive one. Complemetory in the sense that I could still see people pressure me without considering my power. Wouldn’t be unusual either for them to take that stance, considering the vote count right now.
