Omega Strikers FM - Saboteurs and Dissenter Win

no just the wrong people got the roles they got
we are both perfectly capable of realizing that julliet was a likely target from mech stand point to guaratee a kill

Lack of cohesion, no towncore, aimlessness, gonna presume it’s an indicator of increased wolf influence in the thread tho this could be wrong. Yesterday was similar

That similarity describes what I’m feeling but I’m led to a different conclusion from that. Regardless, I think the solution to this it to work together and try to figure out who we want executed today. I do not want the day to go on for too long, we still have sheriff stuff and other mechanics to worry about in the upcoming days, we need time to discuss them.

I am not confident enough on believing Atlas is scum to try to organize a wagon on them. My suspicions on them are centered around on how they have played the game, what they are doing, ect, which may be me misreading their intentions and actions.

If we ignore Atlas…I think it’s wise to actually resolve the Juno/Drek’ar tonight. Generally unwise to execute the sheriff before they get a check off, and I talked about why I felt like Rune wasn’t actually a wolf. For those reasons I’m looking at Juno/X/Drak’ar as possibilities rn.

Why am I town? I’ve done fudgeall.

ai/Rune always holds a wolf

How confident in tbis are you

Actually better question is probably why

I would probably kill Rune today.

I was put off yesterday evening by the way they were talking with me. They had this whole conspiracy about Kai voters, and classified me as the side of the angels for not voting Kai. But I did vote Kai, I got them to L-1 in the first attempt.

The whole case of theirs strikes me as a bit convenient, for reasons I’ll get into later. And I’m deeply suspicious of both Rune and Estelle for wanting to kill Atlas so early, denying us flip info. Id kill Estelle too

Actually, wanna see if we can get a CW

VOTE: Estelle

I laid out my reasons for suspecting Atlas. No one responded to them - and you didn’t even respond to them, you simply ignored it and focused on me finding him suspicious, instead of actually reading what I wrote.

I read your post. In this instance, your reasoning doesn’t mean as much to me as the push itself.

Atlas has the most important role in the game. I wasn’t paying too much attention to mech D1, but it’s obvious how important being flipless is after even one flip. I think it would be extremely useful to scum to kill them early and deny town critical info.

Unless we are very sure they’re scum, flipping them is a bad idea right now. I’d like at the minimum two days of flip days from them, because even if they’re scum the data they provide tells us something. And both your read and Rune’s read reads as tinfoil, not any kind of surefire case.

I’m singleing you out over Rune because you piled on. It’s exactly what I would expect scum to do in this situation, try to successfully kill Atlas the second they see another townie barking up that particular tree.

I addressed the fact that I did not want to execute them because I was not confident in them being scum, under the implication that their role is important and executing them wrongly would be bad.

Ok, I remembered that being much more aggressive positioning than it actually was. I thought you were leaving yourself much more room to join a wagon if it took off than you actually did. My bad. I’ll double check posts I read hours ago before posting thoughts about them in the future.

VOTE: Rune

I’m going to be busy for a while, I’ll be back later
Spent way too much time just thinking to myself on this game lmao

Rune and Drek’ar.

I don’t, and I’m thinking about it…

EraDeadge

I have a pretty comprehensive list of reads right now, which includes a sizable towncore…

I don’t know, maybe I’m playing a different game from everyone else, but I really feel like we don’t need to make things so complicated socially. I’m processing the Atlas case from Estelle right now, and I do see the point about it being unfair to assume that she was trying to fish for information, plus I also think that Estelle has been towny for quite a while now… but I don’t think that makes Atlas a saboteur. Maybe I’m misclearing him but I think he’s still a competitor.

I’m voting Drek’ar in that duo 90% of the time unless Drek’ar suddenly shows up and posts towny outside of their role. I think Juno’s posting style has been towny, and her n1 action was towny as well. I did see Atlas’s towncase on Drek’ar about how saboteurs don’t post in the way in which Drek’ar has been posting, but I don’t quite see it… I think a competent wolf could post the way he’s posted, and it’s not like he has influenced the game in a major way.

You might be 2/2 because of this post:

I think pushing Estelle here is a gigabad look.

This is correct, but Estelle specifically said that she wasn’t planning to kill Atlas now, and she didn’t say she wanted Atlas to be vigged or anything… this yet again feels like you’re being unfair to the target of your push. You’re doing this repeatedly.

At least you appear to be noticing it…

I think the turnaround from Ai.Mi was probably the towniest thing she has done all game.

I still greatly dislike the fact she sussed Rune and Estelle but tried to push Estelle instead of Rune, then backed off when caught misreading the target, instead of just pushing Rune, who I think is a saboteur… That’s why I said this:

And I realize I should’ve explained it right away.

Maybe I’m overestimating the impact of that turnaround… this does feel like she feels like she’s out of options and is banging her head against the wall, much like Rune was doing.

It’s still mechanically suboptimal to kill Ai.Mi now, though, and if we were going to do that, we should’ve done it yesterday…

I’ll revisit this tomorrow when we have a parity check.

@Estelle

This honestly worries me. I think you’re town for it, but I dislike the idea of what you’re suggesting, if that makes sense…? Not that it’s bad, it just… it complicates the game. If you’re right, that would complicate the game, and it’d also mean I have a huge misread…

I currently lean against you being right, but this is worth considering tomorrow depending on what happens tonight.

I straight up just misremembered/misunderstood the point of Estelle’s post. That was my error.

Haven’t been as dialed into this game as I want to be, and I’ve missed a couple things. I do expect that to change this weekend, and hopefully I will grow as confident in your easy worldview as you are and this is easy with a big towncore.

I actually thought Ai sussing Rune/Estelle was towny

:skull:

Hm.
