Added thought: have we thus far been told the host is unreliable? Not that i remember.
It was only said that it was bastard and has hidden stuffs.
Considering many have no clue what alignment or role they have, i would say that’s already plenty bastard without lying. So maybe we can assume there is no lying until proven otherwise.
