There were at least like three people who said they were only worried about claiming flavor and not role
Gonna be honest I kinda wanted to see who jumped to accuse me of outing a wolf chat because I thought someone would do it
But it more or less failed cause Kyubey shut down the discussion iirc
I was also unsure whether this worked like a normal hood (it seems to, so far) or if it was one of those chats where you get a new addition every night but kick out the previous one
yeah
Iāll go see if I can find them
inb4 one of them is alana
should be a normal hood
I can kick people out tho so be nice to each other >:(
hmm
there might be something in marshal/alanaās reactions to when wisdom claimed parity cop on marshal/alana
putting this here so I donāt forget
I noticed that too cause Marshal had some weird comments surrounding it iirc
Idr if I commented on any of that in the thread or if I just bookmarked the relevant posts, or if I didnāt do anything because I was pretty tired and lazy
Do you guys have any takes on Wazza? I feel bad I havenāt done her slot any justice by kinda letting an old read sit because I didnāt read enough to change my opinion on her, and I had an anti-consensus take but Iām also just bad at reading her
Had a random thought Marshal could be a wolf PGO or something, since she seemed like she purposely settled on making herself look bad especially after Alana was caught
I vaguely remember an announcement about spec chat guessing players that they thought were wolves and I somehow tied it to bladescapeās role in my head but I donāt remember why
I guess the most logical assumption is that spec chat might have haterized some players, which would act as a balance to bladescapeās triple vote
Now whether that makes blade town or scum, idk, because I would assume the spec chat is uninformed if they had to guess the wolf team, but at any rate it means we should probably be careful not to put anyone at L-1
Nvm I was drunk when I saw the SoD post and it literally says the names of the three players who were haterized
I canāt believe they haterized Nutella lmao
I gotta say
It might be worth taking into account what the spec chat reads are each day
They might not be any more correct than the thread consensus, but I think thereās merit in considering them since itās a free extra opinion and basically works like having extra town, but unable to interact
I wonder if spec chat has any abilities other than hater, actually (and I just realized the role is called a hater and not haterizer, because the modifier is āhatedā and not āhaterizedā lmao)
I wouldāve speculated that the poison came from them, given they thought Nutella was a wolf, but obviously it wouldāve been dumb to āhateā a player who you were going to poison anyway
I wonder what wolves saw in Nutellaās posts that they thought made her a good kill target. She wasnāt consensus town and I think thread was fairly polarized on whether she was town or wolf even after the poison was announced.
I mean either she had good reads or it was straight-up a PR hunt
Or someone on the wolf team was afraid of her
I wonāt be around for EoN/SoD this time btw, so if thereās stuff you want to discuss here with me, fire away for the next hour or two
I have some other stuff I want to analyze from the thread that Iāll post here while Iām solving, to get second opinions
I thought about the Marshal thing more and its possible she was just going for a TWTBAW + AtE gambit as her last resort
If I had doubts in my mind about her being wolf before, though, I really donāt now
And I should have doubts, because I went from townreading her correctly in the champs practice game to straight wolfreading her after I died, and the reevaluation was entirely wrong.
Problem is, I didnāt originally townread her here, I had a light scumlean that got worse when I saw her readlist because it sketched me out: it had Vulgard, Arete and me in the PoE, and min as a conditional āif Iām wrong on theseā - wolves wouldāve thought Vulgard was town, wolves knew Arete was town, wolves know Iām town, and I donāt know why min was even in that list because Marshal put him in townreads later on and then shaded me for asking why min was in the PoE to begin with.
Anyway Iāll stop wasting more time on analyzing marshalās posts before she flips, since we need a confirmation of her flip before looking at spew
And sheās guaranteed to flip whether she intended to or not, regardless of her alignment
If anyone fights to defend her I will probably advocate to flip them too, since Marshal dodged literally all of my questions and seemingly implied that everyone who wolfreads her isnāt taking her feelings into account. Iād take her actual emotions into account if i thought they were relevant to solving her, and I know keeping her emotions out of the thread isnāt exactly her strong point as any alignment, so itās just NAI. If I completely ignore all of her emotional outbursts and assume theyāre real frustration that doesnāt need to be looked into, her macro is just objectively wolfy from my point of view, and I think at least a few of her defenders must be wolves because she was townread enough yesterday (or rather, only pushed by a few people) that wolves would have thought they could squeak by with plopping a townread on her. If they didnāt expect Alana to be outed it probably screwed up their plans to keep Marshal alive.
Rant over, you get my point, Iām not taking credit for a Marshal pelt because that goes to Arete and probably Arctic. All I did was deny towncoring her. I didnāt even have to make a read on Alana before they were caught, lol.
Hey, did you guys notice something about the Kyubey example rolecard?
Did you see when Litten said in the thread that his slot changes players every day, and then rescinded it saying it was a joke?
I think he was telling the truth, and I think Kyubey is a spec chat slot. The example rolecard would therefore exist, but not āspawn as a player in the gameā. It would be able to carry out any actions the spec chat was able to.
Meaning, it isnāt a wolf slot, but neither is it a town slot. Itās just a slot allowing uninformed specs to vote, switch in and out of the game with each other, and perform communal actions. I donāt know if itās possible to even flip Kyubey or target it with any actions, and if itās a flippable slot, I donāt know if it would flip town or neutral, but my guess is that itās basically irrelevant to solving the game beyond what the slot knows about the spec chat mechanics, and that it just isnāt a wolf. Itās also possible the spectator currently using the Kyubey slot still has access to spec chat, so it would function as a hydra.
That would put our game at a total of 22 players, out of 23 slots.
I also kind of think there could be another slot with a similar mechanic in order to keep the player count at an odd number, but Iāll think more about this later.
Hopefully Iām not making a mistake by pitching this theory here cause Iām a little worried itāll give valuable info to wolves, but on the other hand if they do see this, it would also tell them not to waste their kill on what is essentially a puppet slot.
Actually, yeah this makes sense with the ālightly bastard mechanicsā description in the OP. Wolves are supposed to have a medium to access deadchat (who, unfortunately for them, is also dead, which makes it pretty useless), and uninformed majority have a slot to access specchat.
