I was legitimately going to yell at wazza and then I realized that wazza is like a spring and pushing a spring will just make it snap back

Well yeah, stricter rules on ATE in general regardless of alignment or whether it’s to gain an advantage or not would be good, because as you said if you made it legal in some cases but not others then it would get read into - for instance if you made strategical ATE against the rules but not real ATE, villagers would get a lot of free clears because most of the strategical ATE is from wolves
That’s why the only way of handling it is as a blanket ruling

I don’t have much faith in this working via some rudimentary implementation because if you tried to make ATE more against the rules it would mostly just filter out the strategical ATE and then the problems of that would be obvious

Because then people would be like “wow, ATE is like super against the rules now, so this person ATE’ing means it must be genuine and they are town”
And then that loops back around to people using it strategically and/or people complaining that it can’t be used strategically which will just cause a lot of salt. Strict enforcement could prevent this but people are always going to ATE to some extent and defining the cut-off point in terms of what ATE is allowed in comparison to the cut-off point in what level of ATE people start reading into it as AI is a fool’s errand

I get very easily annoyed when something is obvious and other people don’t see it
Unironically start implementing ATE vigis and toxic vigis
which is why when I proceeded to write a wall post in 5 minutes on phone explaining why marshal was a wolf to min I was lock town
