but how should private nye have been used?
astand and I went back and forth pregame on how strong it would be
I was in camp “too strong”
he was in camp “too weak”
we compromised and landed on the current 5/10 splits and I think that did end up working out pretty well
tragic how I couldn’t post the katze copypasta because it might be taken as a flavor soft
frankly hippo put in ~0 effort to convincing people to say nya that weren’t already going to say it
p sure the only one you got that didn’t happen completely naturally was bumping wind up from role name to full card
I think a bit of an every-man-for-themeslf strat works well in games with a lot of skilled wolves and town. I think it’s important to not go down with the ship if you don’t have to
obv I know you don’t really agree philosophically but I think here its worked out well so far
if you didn’t build a pirate ship with your mafia teammates you didn’t go far enough
I think that is mainly due to the town ending up at each others’ throats so much and posting over their own ability to read the game
by LyLo with 13k posts it’s very easy to forget things like “Wisdom is obviously town here” and that is on them
but I seriously think that with the town acting much the same this could have been a cakewalk for you guys if you tried to coordinate literally, like, anything whatsoever
yes we literally self destructed
really just luck that the town did as well
I don’t quite agree
Early on a lot of solid town voices were very possibly going to outright PoE this game. The environment created where town was hugely distracted for days on end and the town was left to pick up the peices I think was a big part of why we are where we are now
ironically the scum most interested in actually coordinating was the lw who couldn’t talk in scumchat and then they decided they were better of dying despite being the best positioned of us all
Obviously some of us individually may have lived for longer if we all coordinated heavily but like
Town had us utterly beat in activity and wim early on. Like absurdly so.
I think if we tried to buddy harder all of the towns who were at some point townleaders could have come together and wiped us off the face of the earth
okay but that environment wasn’t really created by you guys tbh
you can probably personally take a bit of credit but mostly they should have just turbo’d the reds
kat has the correct solve in DMs btw
I mean I would personally take credit for a lot of the environment but the way the wolfteam flamed the fire so to say ensured that things would end up somewhat similar to where they are now.
I firmly believe that without intervention Arete/Wind/Kyubey/Marl/Chloe/Arctic/Nutella/Min all probably coulda identified each other.
Vul gets a lot of credit for being that “intervention” d1, it’s clear in hindsight he worked hard to break up any beginnings of a correct towncore we just killed him anyways
which would have been completely avoidable with a five-minute conversation about who to nightkill lol
but yeah I just find it really hard to give credit to “strong wolves” for a gamestate working out in their favor when scumchat itself is going basically unutilized
clearly you all aren’t none of the reason for that, but there’s ~0 reason to believe you’re anywhere near a majority of the reason for it either
I find it hard to believe it’s as empty as you say it is
like maybe it’s just me but it’s never empty whenever I’m in a wolf chat, like there is strategizing ect
like if playing town is already a team game (which it is) then that’s five times as true for the scum
thats fair tbh but I probably would have signed off on vul regardless I was deathly afraid of him
I think it’s a more perspective based thing because I saw town start to get very right at points and worked hard to derail that and felt like the tangible effects of my actions and the actions of the other wolves helped break that up
When you look at things from a “stop the town from putting the puzzle peices together” type beat town seemed very close to fitting those peices together a lot of times
