Updated Chads Hosting Guidelines

Mechanical Review
- I won’t dwell deep on this one, but the legendary pokemon events were designed to make the game go faster, however, I did fail to communicate this in the OP which that I do apologize for.
- The live system was mostly a test, but trisscar and I both realized (pretty early) it didn’t go as planned so we will not being moving forward with that system in the sequel to this game. We will continue to keep the pokemon swapping though.
- We are satisfied with the swapping system, nothing much else is needed to be said there.
- I need more feedback on pester balls from the players to decide if thats worth keeping.
Status Review
- Burn- I am satisfied with this one and probably won’t do any hard changes to it.
- Paralyze- Was a very limited ability only 2 pokemon in the game could inflict it, which make it pretty weak overall. Thought I still would’t want the delay to be permanent.
- Freeze- Was a very limited ability as well only 2 pokemon could inflict it. Overall I liked its interaction with burn, and I may wanna include more ways to freeze going forward.
- Poison- Self explanatory it did its job, though I think I wanna make less heals going forward.
- Heals - Town had control of 3 of those methods, mafia had control of 1. Overrall it did its job, but going forward I don’t want it acting as a doctor that prevents any status gain. I want it to be a low priority that fails on death.

Role Review
- Houndoom (Foul Play) - This role was poorly designed because we didn’t allow it to kill off of factional kills. In theory this ability could kill 6 town controlled pokemon and 2 mafia controlled pokemon. If I ever to design something similar going forward it would work on factional kills.
- Corviknight (Facade) - I think by design the concept was fine, but I think making prioritize mafia over town may have been better. Also there was more town ways to apply a status than mafia making this ability more mafia sided than town sided.
- Pachirisu (Pick-up) - I fucked up when distributing this role, it was meant for each item to be 1 shot. Since this ability is to strong having item being 2 shot.
- Dewgong (Sheer Cold) - Basically useless because only 2 pokemon could apply freeze, but it combo’d well with their own ability.
- Golbat (Mean Look) - I think i rather this ability be a day ability that prevents a pokemon from swapping out. Something like if the player was mean looked and tried to swap out they be told “Their is a presence preventing you from swapping.”
- Hitmonchan (Retaliate) - I don’t think I would use this as a killing ability again because its more informative and it requires to accurately guess the night kill almost perfectly, making the kill window rather small.
- Primeape (Stomping Tantrum) - The wording of this action implied it would completely cancel out a players action, which would give them back an x shot and mess with other interactions. When in reality it should have just acted like a normal block.
- Umbreon (Moonstruck) - If I were to use a concept like this again I made every target unique so u cant continuously just protect mafia especially if I am going to keep it 2 targets.
Player Vs Optimal Role Usage
- Jar sent out dewgong first and kept trying to sheercold without fully understanding that he needed to use spheal to freeze someone to killl them with sheercold.
- Neon first usage of Hyperbeam was mechanically correct, every usage afterwards helped the mafia win. This literally became a running joke of neon being the 5th mafia, people even asked if their was a traitor because of neons decision making.
- Olivest barely used Pallosand, despite the fact that it was a protective ability, even in the final nights they never switched back to Pallosand which i think was a throw.
- Zorvo should have faked claimed the facade in a way to get mafia to try to visit them.
- LLD cured the poison off of a team rocket member, and I can only assume this was because of the cop check that they didnt want to reevaluate.
- Jarek using ally switch to buy neons trust was incredibly smart.
- Moonstruck and Aromatherapy coming in clutch to prevent the death of 2 mafia controlled pokemon.
- Overrall town players just not working together with the combination of roles they have and claiming for 0 to little reason, just fucked them over.
Stellaluna Parity Cop Claim
Lets talk about this for a minute, because this is one of the biggest factors towards mafia victory. I’ll begin by saying this, I don’t use alignment cops or parity cops cause personally they require no skill and there is 0 counter for mafia to fight against it. In a closed setup you have to evaluate cop checks, because holy shit you can’t just sit on a role that can’t be claimed doing nothing about it. Also Lucyfer guessed the flavor of destiny bond as a loverizer and they were correct. Anyways alot of people blindly sheep that cop check as if it was god sent, many never tried to reevaluate. LLD saved one of stellaluna pokemon I think because of that check.
Neons Hyper Beams
I understand the logic of the first shot, you want to flip a person because its day 1 you need info going forward. However, the later kills made no sense because it felt like you were still flipping for information, because almost every target you shot was never in your scum poe. Shooting Olivest over the counter train that is Jarek is mind blowing, cause based on the fact that leafia flipped town it makes that counter train scum. Overrall your hyper beams were more helpful to mafia than town. In the nicest way possible I could go as far to say your entire play was poor and all you did was help progress mafias wincon.
Lucyfer attempt to out the fake cop
They tried more than anyone to get that cop check revalauted with all their efforts invain due to jarek and stellaluna constant pressure on the thread. They were towns biggest hope this game and were actively ignored when they were presenting realistic directions to go.
Olivest Bodyguards
Basically non existent? Like one of towns only protection was I believe used once, and instead of swapping to their Pallosand when they could stop factional kills they just didn’t.
Mechanical Questionmarks(My Opinion)
-When Jarek claimed burn immune that should have been a slip because design wise mafia be the only alignment that would need burn immunity.
-When stellaluna claimed destiny bond, a flavor that was not meant to be claimed, because mechanically it was always a loverizer.
-Lucyfer Claiming they could burn was just bad (since burn was designed to counter mafia)
-Olivest Claiming they had a bodyguard???
-All the town who claimed their killing abilities (Like WHY???)
-2wolves being the first elimination over their claim was interesting??? Since they had one of the main ways of countering status effects. Do people think that mafia normally roll a commute???
