the rule of 3 is buy and large superstition and i don’t think it really applies to vulgard who is more than happy to mow down as many villagers as he pleases

i still think marl is town, haven’t looked at notable vulgard spew on him yet tho
if marshal is town i’d probably clear him because he seemed to care way too much about the arete/marshal situation to be a wolf if it’s v/v

Vulgard spent ages going “EXCUSE ME WHY IS EVERYONE TOWNREADING MIN??? WHAT??? THEY ARENT OUT OF WOLFRANGE YET” and then when he drops his own read on min it’s a townread and one which reeks of TMI

If min is a partner Vulgard trying to stop them being townread for nothing would indicate an intention to buss/look better from min’s flip, but the fact after all that vulgard ends up townreading min just makes no sense as a partner imo

-it pings me that Hippo first says ‘I feel like the Squirrel wagon was set up to avoid the Arete vs Marshal thunderdome yet then shortly after attempts a cfd on Wisdom by creating a FOURTH wagon

-I feel like Bladescape knows better than to just tunnel a LHFish slot like Squirrel

-I think Squirrel’s long readslist legacy-post at EoD is unlikely to come from scum

-Wisdom’s posts about Marshal and Arete are almost TWTBAW

-Marluxion and Arctic’s feelings about the Arete lynch seem genuine

-I still don’t townread her but Millium’s posts definitely look better today

feel like there are wolves in the marshal/mistyx/min/squirrel/wazza grouping because I do have townreads on them but those townreads are for shaky reasons and I know from experience that I often put wolves in that zone of my readlists

i ask this because he then gave this extra group of 3 which i know know contains at least 2 villagers and he could have just merged this into the first one? i see the difference in the groups was “people i townread but could be a wolf” vs “people i wolfread” but i feel his emphasis is on the first grouping rather than the second, and knowing the second contains 0-1 wolves is making me mrrrr about the first group of 5

something worth noting here
the way vulgard flames JC and seems genuinely irritated with him for feeling like he’s misrepping him is extremely different to the way he treats Marshal even though she is, from his point of view, doing more or less the same thing from her accusation of “combating min v reads”. it’s much less flamey/annoyed and instead more mild, so i think there’s partner equity here (a similar thing comes up with moonwink which i’ll talk about later)

there’s one aspect of my role that should be important to mention but idk if i can mention it and avoid anticlaim (depends on how strict it is)

other than the question of whether or not this is softing specifically to hippo
the last bit lends some credence to my suspicion that vulgard was focusing p hard on not getting nightkilled by mafia so i do think he’s less likely to be bussing whoever he pushes with intent to kill, since this would just get him killed faster

I get that a lot of ‘game solvers’ don’t really know how to play D1, but most of them I think are aware that it’s nearly impossible to reliably solve the entire team D1. I think you threw the ‘1 wolf in me + Night’ take into your solve just to make your solve look more complete. However… it’s only D1. It looks more ‘try-hard’-y than anything, and not in a good way.

Furthermore, I think if you were actually serious about your solve, I think you actually would have scrutinized me more and had more to say about me in that post. :3

So, this is the main post I’m going to bring up for now, but there are others in the interaction I and JC had with Vulgard. The main point I’m going to make is that there’s no reason for me, as wolf, to scrutinize Vulgard’s solve in this way at this point in the game when I could just simply push my team to nightkill them that night if I thought they’d be a threat.

and you didn’t receive much of my focus today, because you’re less familiar to me than most people here, and your posts haven’t stood out to me as much as the posts of several other slots (which is part of the reason why i’m calling for scrutiny on your slot)

I do feel like I’ve received some scrutiny from some slots (Nutella earlier, Night at various points in the game, Min and Illwei early D1). Min eventually turn their read around on me later on after they read my ISO earlier. I think Wisdom has been suss of me. Arete outright refused to give me a townread on me in spite of making a good point with regard to my attempts to interact with the people who he didn’t include in their readslist.

I guess I’m just confused about who you are concerned about not scrutinizing me enough? Was there anyone in particular you were worried about?

I also don’t go out of my way to push them to scrutinize me and make an actual read on me if I plan to nightkill them as scum.
