Poor Approximations of Catgirls [Game Over - Mafia Win]

Thanks, gonna look into the Illwei posts, at least it gives me something to consider

Also idk if I ever kill Rokon when I know I can pocket them super hard with my play.

Yes, yes, I know this is NKA and that’s stupid but you heard it here first.

Anyway, I’m off for now.

Have fun ya nerds.

Wazza’s claim that she shot JC complicates things. I had thought that maybe I successfully stopped a nightkill on Blade N1, which would have just cleared them altogether, I think, but between the claim and the fact that Night was the only nightkill last night when Wazza, I think, is claiming to have shot Wind(?) who claimed to have a bullet proof vest(?), now makes me think it’s likely that I didn’t save Blade from anything.

I townread Blade D1 from my interactions with them, but I don’t remember any of the specifics because, again, between that, them having three votes, and me possibly having saved them N1, I didn’t think I’d need to pay any more attention to them.

With that said, I have at the very least Wind, Min, Milli, and Wisdom all above Blade in my mental town ranking of people. I think I’d even put Hippo above them.

Honestly, I would have 100% approved you claiming jailkeeper after me if only to give me some cover. XD Granted, part of this is coming from me knowing that we would have been talking game together the following night in the neighborhood.

Commentary on some of Blade’s iso from the old thread:

I recall someone saying this was towny because they thought it was too bold a statement for a wolf to make, but blade voted Squirrel (flipped town) which isn’t all that impressive.

Shelves the Nutella scumread in favor of the Squirrel push
Kinda hedgy

This is kind of interesting? Specifically because he was asking Millium for decisive takes after blade himself wrote a hedgy take on Nutella that didn’t seem very decisive to me

So why expect others to be more decisive?

More hedge, this time on illwei
Can I see these sorts of posts coming from town? Yes, but there’s nothing so far I’ve seen from blade that has made me think a wolf can’t post it.

This one could go either way. Could be town having a realization that he needs to be cautious, but also could be a wolf leaving his options open to push later if convenient.

So far the only non-hedge take he’s given is that Squirrel is a wolf, and then he admitted to voting Squirrel after reading exactly one post from him, so I am far from convinced that these are actually his reads.

Mentions being able to read Rokon. I haven’t gotten to the point yet where he reads or interacts with her.

And I’m sorry to cut this short but I really need to sleep now lol, ill be back later

Basically what I got from this is that there are no fleshed-out reads and I don’t think bladescape took that hard of a fall being wrong for so many days, so idk why he suddenly decided he should townread kyubey and sheep them. I don’t think the mentality matches up. I also feel like I’m beating a dead horse isoing him when there’s already a redcheck on him and he hasn’t even jumped to claim wisdom is lying, he just said he’d first believe it’s bastard mechanics and only after that’s disproven would he jump to call wisdom a wolf. I find that noteworthy because he was definitely parking his vote on wisdom for a while during D1/D2 before she caught Alana, and I would expect bladescape to be more paranoid that wisdom pulled some sort of hellbussing play, if he actually knew he should be greenchecked.

Conclusion: yeet

There wasn’t any pressure? Arctic wanted me dead. He wasn’t giving me a chance to play. I don’t know how you can there wasn’t pressure on me. Wasn’t there, like, three people voting me that day, too?

Seriously, I’ve already asked you once already – please stop using the word ‘useless’ to describe my play this game.

Fair, I just didn’t want it to accidentally result in a nonexistent thunderdome in the thread since we would both know I was lying in that case. It could result in both of us getting voted out or shot, and since I am pretty sure both of us are town, that would’ve been a clear -EV.

It’s ok I’m considered useless too
All I did was delay a town kill which is the dumbest possible use of my role

Anyway I’ll go sleep before inevitably returning to be even more useless later :P

By the way wind, I remember you asking for the purpose of your role - it’s meant to be a red herring for town. Not dying from poison = sus, not dying form lynch = sus, not dying from a random spam/slank vig = sus, ect

Point taken
It’s fairly obvious from the name of my role, actually, but I still don’t consider it negative utility since I couldve used it to FPS and bait if my head had been fully in the game

I reconsidered my wazza stance, feels way too misguided to be a wolf
like you would just accept the self resolving plan if they were a w there
idk just kill then later on okay

I played my role like I wanted to soft deathproof only for the first night

Knowing I’d die and wasn’t actually deathproof, and knowing I’d have the same result regardless of which phase I was killed in

I just kind of fucked up cause I made it sound like I was baiting a day elim the first day instead of a night kill

So I had to work to fix that my writing a legacy like I actually expected to die on the other nights

Meh. XD As fun as it would be, I think I agree with you. I think this is part of the reason why I’ve been so frustrated this game. It feels like my playstyle doesn’t really mesh with a couple other people’s playstyle, so I can’t make the same kind of plays that I would ordinarily be able to.

Funnily enough, I did consider that this could have been the reason why Night was killed last night. I think scum might have expected certain others to have a certain reaction towards it, but no one’s talking about it because 1.) the town doesn’t really feel anything towards it aside from ‘wow, what a weird kill’, and 2.) the scum misjudged the town and is now afraid to talk about Night being the nightkill halfway into this day phase because it would draw attention to themselves.

Tinfoiling me thinks that if this is the case, most of the strong pushes this game have come from town, and scum has just rode on the coattails on these pushes, especially when they’ve been on town.

Nah, town wazza is very strong in late game so I think she can be an asset
Don’t kill her, please
She’ll settle down once I flip

I meant later as in not after I flip

If you want my take on the NK, it’s partly that Night was more or less consensus town and partly that she might have softed her role or results somewhere that wolves caught onto, or they have a rolecop and realized she was the tracker and needed to die.

It’s also possible her reads were correct but in all honesty I haven’t gone back to look at them yet.

My guess is that scum has been a bit more focused on townies who have been townreading town correctly, than townies who have been scumreading scum correctly, because up until Wisdom’s mech check on Alana, we didn’t really have any thread cohesion on whom to vote or where to look. I think the lack of thread direction is exactly what wolves needed to keep afloat, which is why Marshal was so hard to kill on D1, and was even somewhat hard to kill after Alana flipped. Wolves may have had a part in that, but I still think a lot of that resistance to flipping Marshal came from town.

Anyway I’m signing off for the night and then I should conserve my posts for a bit and condense them till closer to EoD

Think I’m running a bit shorter than anticipated because I wasted posts being a dumbass in the thread, sorry for that. I know it wasn’t worth reading lol.

@bladescape
Just vote me, spec chat thinks I’m a wolf and I want to die
