yeah i reread that exchange and actually think arctic is poking at marshal in uncharitable ways and i think hes done that to a few other people myself included, pulling out something that is like believable as a point on the surface but when you look closer it’s like, not a take with any real depth of thought
“why would you consider these two players you wolfread could conceivably be v/v” is actually quite transparently bad faith
i also think that + his discredit of my arete/vul dichotomy lends additional weight to the dichotomy

i think the way he has discredited marshal’s v/w vul/arete read makes him >rand wolf with exactly one of vul/arete
calling out marshal for considering they could be v/v is simply bad faith and egging on pushing them, and he twisted marshal’s take into emphasizing the w/w potential which could be tying a partner to a villager and setting himself up to look good if the partner flips as well
i’m looking in his iso for how he treats each of them and he goes pretty hard on arete but has pretty meh interactions with vul
idk this could be nothing but i really really disliked how he approached my and marshal’s input
