Hippo vs Wazza earlier was boring. All I got out of it was that Hippo seemed more interested in talking about roles/mechanics/rolecards/etc. rather than people, and that’s no fun for me. Wazza on the other hand seems to want Hippo dead for similar reasons why some people want me dead? (i.e. Vulgard associations)

Caveat is that I just briefly read a couple posts in the thread discussing JC’s alignment and Vulgard’s post caught my eye
But I’m just skimming so this take is subject to change later once I’ve caught up more

I at least believe it’s the other way: If Vulgard’s a wolf then JC’s town.

JC isn’t inherently correct in his earlier hard pushes. More often than not his hardest push is town (although his accuracy is still good, he just tends to tunnel the wrong people).

What do you two think about JC and Vulgard individually? I don’t buy that you, @WindwardAway, just suddenly make a snap read on not one, but two people that are conditional on the other’s alignment. Or rather, I don’t buy that you feel that confident about the read.

I just reread some stuff, and both Windward and Wisdom were both correct about their individual conditional reads in spite of me not liking them at the time. Does anyone remember if Windward in particular had been scumreading JC prior to making that read? Because if not, I’m actually inclined to call Windward town right now.

I think Arctic is mafia because I haven’t agreed with any of his pushes (I think Arete and Wazza are town), because I don’t think he’s been super villagery (I have high standards for him because I think he’d try hard here as either alignment but as town he’d be an easier townread), and because he called me w/w with windward for me calling her a potential like pocketer, which is what she was trying to do to both me and Arctic in the clonedvitational where me and arctic masoned

Arctic claiming he couldn’t have known what I was referring to is something I don’t believe at all and it felt like a snap response to discredit me; the only pause I have is that he didn’t actually push me harder for it, but started reconsidering my slot instead, which I’m not sure how to feel about. I actually kinda see why he would call my like-pocket statement about WWA W/W, but it feels like a bizarre interpretation coming from him, when he should know I’m stating something that could very well be true; at the very least, it felt openly uncharitable. I probably overstated the importance of that response in my snap reaction earlier, but I do think it’s AI

using the ladd article (lol) most of these interactions imply wind is partnered is vul
because almost every mention of wind is vul going like “oh wait, i haven’t talked about wind, i should do that” and wolves feel like they need to talk about each other at least a bit
the “could be pocketing wolf/could just be villager” feels especially bad, wolves often randomly accuse their partners of trying to pocket them and the reality is the whole like pocketing accusation thingy is likely just TMI

Furthermore, I think Windward’s conditional read is stronger than Wisdom’s because of the fact that Vulgard was a lost wolf. From a wolf!Windward PoV, John is absolutely town, right? But so is Vulgard since the mafia doesn’t know who the lost wolf is. So, if Windward was NOT scumreading JC prior to this, she’s active taking town’s side in this interaction over a confirmed wolf.

In Wisdom’s case, from wolf!Wisdom PoV, Vulgard and JC are both town, too, but since she seemed to want to flip Vulgard first, it’s possible that she was expecting Vulgard to flip town so that she could push on JC later.

Still, both takes were correct in the end.
