and actually on this topic, i feel like it would be a good idea for the expected hosting requirements to be outlined somewhere so it’s easier for hosts to gauge what is/isn’t really acceptable - i looked over the hosting guide and this wasn’t really talked about
obviously most things are pretty self-explanatory (i.e. randomly modkilling players for host enjoyment would be unacceptable!) but it’d probably be useful to outline when, for instance, not updating the OP/flips for [time] or adding unstated rules/changings in rulings in non-bastard games becomes actively poor hosting
i doubt this will ever really be big enough of an issue for it to actually matter but i don’t really see the harm in doing this
i don’t know who i am supposed to @ for this so hopefully someone relevant skims over
