In this case I was kind of busy and had the time to take away from my active Splatoon match .2 seconds to like a post (but not immediately to type a response), in the former case I was simplyā¦ playing the Discord mafia game instead of this one. Both of these things are normal. It is quite annoying to have someone call you out for ālurkingā for not actively being typing posts 24/7.
On forums, Iām silent a lot of the time! My high-volume posting here is a playstyle I genuinely donāt like, and mostly just do because everyone else is doing it. I prefer to sit back, like posts sometimes, gather information, and type up a big paragraph when I have actual thoughts. Itās a little irritating to have you call me out for being scum or lurking or being 3P for not conforming to your exact expectations of my playstyle. I contain multitudes!

My old habits, though Iām not this extreme now, were just straight up not showing up for the first 12-24 hours of a game, getting called out for not being in thread, and then going back and digesting all the info thatās been posted into a bunch of heavy analysis paragraphs and immediately catapulting myself to locktown.
This doesnāt really work anymore because I had a couple wolfgames where I avoided thread simply out of Fear, and so now every time I try to do it people will go āMay is Frozenā despite the fact that this was my exact town playstyle for months and months before I ever randed wolf. Plus, Iām a bit more comfortable on the forum and so donāt need quite as much content to make reads.
I would like to make it clear that I am not actually pissed. I just think that calling people out for ālurkingā like that and considering liking a post but not sending a message suspicious 1. is a bad read and 2. promotes a fluffposty playstyle in the people youāre pressuring, something we donāt need more of.
