I think the salmon run is RNG. It wouldn’t be unethical if there was host balance involved
That was my argument last night. But it would equally be as unethical to never allow scum in a neighbourhood due to rng. So there has to be some sort of order to the random is my guessing
It is only fair if it is 100% RNG from 15 player list. If there are soft conditions like “must involve a wolf” then that should be revealed on setup page which makes it a caroler game and not mountainous

@HellDualies are all salmon run contestants picked based on equal RNG between 15 players? Are there any conditions or rules behind the selection?
It would unethical to host a mountainous and not clarify host balancing for salmon run. I think we are safe to assume this is just pure RNG to create another day chat at night which kinda gives town a minor catch-up mechanic for the 15p mountainous which is naturally scumsided

I have been actually theorizing a similar mountainous setup recently about having double vote sessions during one day cycle 24/24 to see if we can balance mountainous better
