Honestly, these kinds of mafia performances are the ones that impress me the most. The ones that aren’t mechanically airtight, the ones where all the spectators are screaming about how obvious it is, the ones where the wolves build the game around themselves and shape these kinds of ridiculous claims into something that works. I think pretty much every game I’ve played here was something like that, honestly… in GOAT^2 the wolves both fell under significant suspicion from the town, but they manipulated the gamestate such that they wouldn’t get executed (though plenty of credit goes for me for always prioritizing the townie in my solves). In Flicker, the wolves were being plenty obvious, and I saw through it all, but they still got me executed because of how they appealed to and treated the rest of the town. Valorant… maybe not, I was N1ed and didn’t pay much attention beyond that, and Morbtainado was just an incredible stomping.

I also give myself credit for losing us the game. It should have been plainly obvious to me that your role was fake, I was being told your role was fake, and I didn’t listen. I wanted to push Zorvo today to see what happened. What happened was obvious, and I didn’t need to do that experiment: you encouraged it as a thunderdome to get two misexecutions, and you succeeded.
It was my own hubris here that was the issue - I assumed that your claim was so obvious that I could effortlessly convince everyone else it was fake, and that was my downfall. I just ignored how deeply entrenched you are as town in everyone’s minds. They’d rather go along with the easy, pre-existing call of “killing me for information” than go against the grain and doubt your fakeclaim, because you’ve set this up so well.

They’d rather go for the easy option than risk being wrong. Like, they’ve already dug their hole here, they’ve already made peace with the fact that I might flip town, and they think they have an easy plan of action afterward if it does happen - killing Zorvo. The risk they’re taking with killing Jarek, even though it is tiny, isn’t something they’ve processed and accepted yet.
