Like, yeah you can explain how you formed your reads/what was the thought process behind them, but imo townies usually don’t bother unless they’re asked because “their logic just makes sense to them” and they’re focused on the actual reads themselves. On the other hand, doing it unprompted seems self-conscious to me.

For one, their wallposts (p#132, p#158, p#270) were rambly and difficult to follow, when in Joat10 their posts cut straight to the point. This is what I meant by their approach being different.

They did explain this tbf. Accordingly thats what they do on everything but this.

I…don’t think Guava made a proper read in that post, either? Them saying “Cait is new and don’t know what they’re doing” isn’t an explicit “Cait is town” or “Cait is wolf” read.

The “autistic people are DONE FOR” might have been a joke, but the sentiment behind it doesn’t seem to be one. It reads as if Guava felt it was unfair for autistic people, and coupled with the emojis — read as genuine.

I think about myself a lot. And I’m trying to change up how I play, so I’ve been focusing even more than usual on what I tend to do.

Most of the comments in there were made for different reasons to each other - the one in the guava read was a joke, the one in the first Zug read was an acknowledgement of attempted playstyle change, second Zug read was an explanation of my personal biases that might influence my reads, and the one in the Guava read was a criticism of Guava’s read on me, which I thought townread me for the wrong reasons.

I think reading me as self-conscious here is fair enough, but I am just generally self-obsessed in all games and in all things. It is one of my character traits. I used to, still often do, write extremely long self-reflection walls after every game. It is not wolfy for me. I think it’s a good read from Psyx, but I also know that she is a capable wolf and so that it does not do much to further improve my read on her (which is currently a mild townlean).

Your next sentence is “ Like , it all starts with them not understanding/on board with why Arctic+Garfooled+Luka were voting Cait.” The use of “like” shows that this sentence and the one right before are one connected thought.

This… feels a bit strange. The first sentence you claim to be written before your post. The second sentence must be written at the same time as the first. But the second sentence is not something that one would write before having read the ISO. One remembers the most important/memorable points, not the one that comes first, cleanly meshes with the following quote, and transitions smoothly to the rest of the post.

Okay, so if I’m getting you right, you think that me saying I’ll ISO → then putting my conclusion (preceded by the “Hmmm”) → then adding the actual ISO makes the whole thing fake?

But why? That post was not strictly a read. I wanted to convince PrincessAbigail that Guava was more likely town than wolf by going over Guava’s progression (and addressing Princess’s sus points), so I put in the “conclusion” (ie the argument) first before adding the supporting points/reasoning.

This would be because they’re not intentional wallposts. I am not giving thought to structure or argument here, whereas in the hydra game, I was arguing with Achro and therefore trying to be convincing and clear, These are dressed-up stream of consciousness.

This is not relevant whatsoever to reading me, really, it doesn’t, like, help explain anything about my alignment, but I feel obligated to acknowledge and kind-of-apologise-for being difficult to follow. That’s why. I’m in the thinking out loud stage.
