I would call it skill issue on my part that you may coincidentally catch beancat or millium as mafia through ‘meaningless’ tactic unintentionally.
it’s not simply the smile and ‘hahaha’
it’s the placement.
“if you’re town I hope to find you later :)” is. not something one says when they’re fairly convinced on a scumread. especially with the smile it just has the wrong tone.
and like. the ‘hahaha’ just feels awkward in the second post as there’s not really anything to laugh at?

smile does still feel a tad off as I expect one to be apologetic in a ‘oops if you’re town hopefully i fix my read’ but I can start to see a mindset that would feel ‘:)’
