tbh I liked how they were the first person to talk to me.

I don’t really understand how it should affect your reads unless you have like green checks on people so I guess I don’t really understand why they felt it was such a big deal. Cause at some point if you call someone town d1 and then a few days later you don’t know why, maybe they are wolf. Same with if suddenly they start acting really wolfy. Although it might just be because I am not one to lock my reads unless they are a real or cover check.

Aye. Now we only need him to agree to work with town and somehow assure us he won’t side with scum–which is basically impossible because his role just needs to survive as long as possible.

I think we should just let him live. His ability seems to benefit town more than it benefits scum, especially if you consider the fact that Merpy can become an infinite-shot day vigilante.

These posts feel TMI. Granted, the last one post about knowing Merpy’s meta is not really TMI since I also knew the feeling when I was reading Orochi in Binary Stars, but the tone when they explained what Kanave was doing/thinking seems too overconfident to me.

The rest of guava’s posts are mainly fluff with some exceptions such as P#280. I have them as null, but GTH scum.

Let’s be real here. Merpy sounds like a newbie.

Everything they have done so far (and everything guava has said about them) fits the meta of a newbie town who was given a gun than a meta of a mafia with a dayvig.

They literally shot a fake redcheck 1 hour into the game rather than just talking it out, and when asked what their role was, they gave it with basically no hesitation. I refuse to believe Merpy randed as non-Town.

…I just remembered Gorta and math. But the thing is: He asked for it and didn’t go anywhere with it. If it was obv!scum, then he’d have pushed some agenda about how everyone should prepare to have their townreads be reviewed at D2, and I don’t see that from Gorta (yet).

Well the issue is that we usually don’t have any checks at D1, and sometimes people don’t have any checks at all throughout the game, so they were forced to make reads based on their own set of logic and reasoning.

Locking reads isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it is definitely a good thing to re-evaluate them whenever you approach the endgame.

Nothing may be locked, but people are just sometimes so certain that someone is of a certain alignment, and refuses to re-eval.

I am not saying it is a good thing to lock reads, but it is a human thing to do. …or they are just scum. Scum have TMI, so that can happen too.

Not sure you should make Derpy into a serf in that way just yet. The level of trust everyone is placing in them just because if a bad shot is making me feel really uneasy honestly. I’d rather not give potential dayvig scum infinite shots or a way to explain more shots. That could end up really bad.

Zone feels slightly scummy for coming up with that idea honestly.

Even in worlds where Derpy is town, Derpy has already proven to us that trusting them with more shots is risky business.

You are uneasy about Merps being either mafia or a hero shooter. I say: “ENABLE THE INFINITE DAYVIG!”

“If we are somehow wrong on Merpy being town, and she goes rogue or smth, then we can literally just execute her.”

In the meantime, we can literally use her ability to reduce the POE mid-day. I don’t think the hosts would allow an instant game over, so they will probably nerf Merpy such that she can only shoot once per day, but that alone is already very beneficial to decrease the POE .
