Well the issue is that we usually don’t have any checks at D1, and sometimes people don’t have any checks at all throughout the game, so they were forced to make reads based on their own set of logic and reasoning.

Locking reads isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it is definitely a good thing to re-evaluate them whenever you approach the endgame.

I guess I just don’t understand the reasoning behind locking reads. Imo if you have no checks, you just have reads. Nothing is locked.

I just don’t like seeing the number because then I feel intimidated even moreso sometimes than I would feel without knowing the number.
