True. Giggles Iâm still proud of being able to fool you for the entirety of D1 though. ^_^ Couldâve played D2 a lot better however and Neon and I have apologized to each other and made up, so everything is good between us again.
Now youâve said that aloud, youâve jinxed us. Now thatâs never going to happen. Even if it did, youâre a way better player than I am. Given the start of both Kaguya and this, though, Iâm almost getting the feeling youâre hoping Iâll be evil each game.
See you all in the next game.
I wrote this before I died, and I believe it suffices as a conclusion:
â Memoir of a Magician â
Min
You are the PrisonerYour odds of rehabilitation have been hindered by the distrust of those around you. Whether you committed a crime, or the fates has conspired to string you along a miserable road, nobody seems willing to believe your word at face value. You have one last chance to prove your innocence, once and for all, or surrender and accept your doom.
A few times I felt like the Hosts were slow to answer my questions, and certain major moderrors (like Rad not seeing me visit him) could have wasted precious hours. I noticed how certain roles were considerably stronger than others, and since Town had one protective and two investigatives with weak abilities, and Aliens had three killing methods and four members, this ending felt inevitable once the truth dawned on me in the graveyard.
Sorry for promoting the arsonist theory, I confbiased myself into believing what I wanted to believe.
In any case, I certainly believe this game wasnât inherently unbalanced, but due to a general lack of understanding what could and couldnât be in play, it amounted to the same thing. Town (and Iâm blaming myself here as well) shouldnât have committed to the web of confirmations on the last day I was alive, since it was mostly based on Forum Mafia standards. âThree evils, average of one kill a night, yada yadaâ.
No hard feelings, though. This mightâve been the last game before my birthday, so it still felt like a treat. Even though I wasnât âinvitedâ to sign up like others were, because I was forgotten, it was a fun game while it lasted.
Now to head off, so good night everyone. ^_^
I already told zorvo this, and this comes from my own experience as a host, I thought it was a terrible job not making sure everyone understood the type of game this was. âI wanted an alien gameâ I had never seen an alien game before so conceptionally I, and everyone else, didnât really get it outside of flavor and there are a lot of different expectations surrounding that.
I think Rad seems pretty new to mafia in general so that probably didnât help. I donât understand why he was on board with frink so much tbh when magnus had expressed so much suspicion of him and magnus died, that last day genuinely confused me. Voting min ever there is a confusing decision and is probably just because he is new.
But also at least I was right that rad was super town whoo.
Having a 4-member scum team in a 14-player game, is by definition already scum sided. As typical scum numbers are 1/4 of setup size for balance reasons.
Yes, I expressed this as well.
This was very scumsided
Especially accounting for the fact my slot in most scenarios probably is an extra kill?
I donât really know how you guys do setups around here, but even if that were the case, two scum went down extremely early, even using one of our kills. I had fun and donât want it to feel like me and Jarek just somehow got handed a free win. We certainly didnât.
Though I can see how that was compensated by having Aliens having only 1 factional kill.
True. If you werenât poisoned, you were dying n3.
Donât really worry about this aspect of discussion. Itâs not really a âplayerâ thing atm. You outplayed town by an order of magnitude, and nothing changes that.
I am now discussing why the game in general was not fair now.
As a thought exercise, imagine Leafia and FRinkâs roles were swapped. Then imagine how the game wouldâve gone.
The game would have probably ended with Aliens winning sooner. As FRink would have been poisoning every odd night.
Leafia has a tell sheâs not so great at hiding. You had the right method, but you came to the wrong answer.
You were probably expecting w!Leafia to powerwolf right out of the gates, whereas v!Leafia would shrivel under pressure. Whereas I expect w!Leafia to gloat, because she loves manipulating the Town. Not to the extent that sheâd ever leave you alive past D2, sheâs not stupid, and Jarek claiming heâd leave me alive at the end there used the same logic â no, neither of you would keep the most Town confirmed player at the time alive, just because theyâre Townreading you presently. Reads change all the time. Even if Jarek had been truthful about being neutral trying to protect me, I would still drop him from my towncore for not attacking FRink as requested. Leafia tried the same logic in Flicker, and wolves won that game. Just because someone died while townreading another player doesnât specifically make that player Town. As a matter of fact, I socially read Rad in a better light than I did Jarek, but I mistakenly believed the latter couldnât attack his own teammate.
Anyway, you were on the right track, Achro, but I was looking for different things in Leafiaâs behaviour D1. Thatâs why I didnât trust her and you did, at first. Iâm also terrible at reading players conventionally, so thereâs that.
preciate it fam. thanks for inviting me over
Did I do that?
I have no memory of that
I think Seth did.
Sounds correct, alana said the same
Glad to have you here though
min, neon and leafia walk into a bar
Shhhhhhhh
