Ok I know that but I’m saying if there’s a wolf who wants to fake-claim a negative utility role and they see you getting away with it or neon or whoever else they’re gonna wanna do it themselves so I’m saying
lets scrutinize these roles as they “show up” more heavily instead of just going “ok that guy claimed lets move on :)”

Good question now you mention it. I’d look at KingTroll, Porscha, Grylander, FRiink, Alana and maybe Leafia if the previous names are misses and you are town.
The names I didn’t mention here are those I have reasons to think they’re more likely to be of the town alignment.

Don’t forget unconfirmable. If Evils claim a confirmable role they don’t actually have, they’ll be caught anyway.

Can’t we just agree Neon’s role is modconfirmed at this stage? We know a Singer’s in the game and nobody else has “seriously” counterclaimed it.

Exactly. Easy to fake-claim, no effort in mechanics. If we have no other leads those kinds of claims are who I would kill first.
Yeah that sounds reasonable. I don’t know how likely it is that they’d mod-confirm an evil singer but it’s probably not likely unless evil team really needed the help that badly I would think.

If the claim is decent it’s because it’s probably mechanically provable or they’ve got information.
I would say that depending on the role, it’d be better off leaving the socially weird player alive because either they are town with the claimed ability or they’re evil but in either case by scrutinizing them publically they’re forced to use their ability in towns benefit to blend in.
It depends on the ability, obviously. I don’t know what I’d even consider a good claim. If someone just says “omg I’m watcher” and posts their info they’re still gonna die because a mafia watcher is possible and they could be lying - It isn’t mechanically proven to exist and all that. I hope you understand what I’m getting at.
Claims aren’t the be all end all anyway this isn’t town of salem where if you speak the word medium at all you’ll instantly die. So yeah my answer would be the latter but only sometimes? I guess?

I have a hard time remembering their slot, unless I’m reminded they exist.

TL;DR
If the claim is “Good” they’ve got more to slip up on.
Unfortunately, if I had to choose between socially good and socially weird but strong claim, the socially good person is on the block first because the socially weird guy now has to lie about his ability and also justify why he isn’t being nightkilled with his strong ability that he just claimed.
It’s a lie you can’t keep up for very long. And then you get other evils trying to bus that guy. Yeah I think I like my answer.
