Valorant FM Game Thread 2 (7/18) [Mafia wonnered]

I lied about the other thing this is the most true statement I’ve ever read.

What you need to realize is that other players are not fictional manifestations of themselves and WILL always take things like this personally, and stuff like this can make games inhospitable for them.

When like 5 people have said you are ruining their game experience (all fellow villagers) you should really try to be more self aware.

Be more considerate and for god’s sake just be nice or this is going to keep happening

@eevee ggwp

Also gg to fellow town, Eevee’s gambit was risky but paid off, don’t think there was a way to win after that

Bellatrix claiming the kill didn’t come from mafia when I was watching the game.
Which is why I wasn’t surprised they flipped town with a wagon which had 8 votes and 2 on the nearest “competitor” if you can call it as such.

I’m not always great at explaining myself but Bella was like so obviously town and I was sleeping when they flash wagoned the slot which was just frustrating cause i was the only person who ever defended it

I am shaking and screaming I miscleared eevee

on the bright side I think ur plan of keeping Kiiruma and eevee from being killed during the night would have worked

I can’t believe that freaking eevee outsmarted me with them roleblocking Zoro AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

And when Neon said that Blizer is being disingenious I quickly got sidetracked

It’s like they knew I was setting a bot on Zoro how :sob: :sob:

Like I “knew” that Kiiruma, eevee and Neon were town and I needed to put dirt on them so they wouldn’t die

Eliza if you get day lynched I won’t defend you for being LHF gurl, it’s all up to you now

Chloe I failed you with the boxing technique :pensive:

I regret not going for Zorvo or Kiiruma tbh
Cause I totally could’ve flashwagoned either of them that day but I was just frustrated by everything and had kind of given up on my reads

Wagoning Bella was a mistake because I had simply never socially read her at all

My only consideration was that scum had to have extra kp, and in that case I couldve gone for Eliza instead

Windy if you watched me during this game. What criticism can you give me?

Be less wolfy :joy_cat:

I found you as town, and so did some others who are familiar with your meta, but I could see that a number of players thought you were being very wolfy because you were making all kinds of statements that were getting interpreted as TMI because of the way you worded them.

I’m not really sure how to tell you to improve that, since I guess part of it is just your style, but I would definitely recommend not fence-sitting for so long. I understand that uncertain town will also fence-sit, but because wolves hedge, and you’ve only wolfed once before, I would guess that there are assumptions made that you’re hedging because you are a newbie wolf who doesn’t know where to push, instead of an uncertain town. Even if you don’t have confidence in your reads, that’s OK, I almost never have as much confidence in my reads as i sound like I do. Which is why you see me tunnelling but also changing my reads so often. Tunnelling is a bit too extreme, but the point is you need to believe your reads and also make sure everyone knows you believe them. Because if you don’t believe your own reads, who else is going to believe them? You need to explain in your own words why you have your reads, and not just parrot someone else (unless you want to say that they have reasoning you agree with, and you think they’re town).

When I was giving you advice during the game, I was doing so in an effort to try to get you to obvtown yourself to others. I’m sure it looked like I knew I was talking to a villager, because I was pretty sure you were town lol. I was just hoping you would reply to me in a way that someone else could see what I saw, and say, “There’s no way this comes from a wolf.” I don’t think it really convinced the people who didn’t already read you as town, so that’s a shame, but my point is that it’s much easier for people to find you as town correctly if you share some of your thought process. Doesn’t matter if you’re right or wrong, but the thing is that you need to show that you genuinely are trying to solve the game, and nor just posting for the sake of posting.

i’m too lazy to give proper thoughts

but i think the main reason we lost was because of a lack of cooperation and teamwork (after i died of course, how curious!). people weren’t willing to work together. good reasons for reads were being drowned out by bad reasons for (incorrect) reads and the game ended up being more of a free for all rather than a coherent effort to solve. and in this environment, regardless of how disorganized the mafia may also be (by the looks of it, they were also pretty disorganized), they are almost still always going to win due to having the ability to reconcile votes which town just didn’t have.

i would like to thank blizer for being one of the only people who paid attention to my legacy (which was memes/wind v)
yes i didn’t say you had to sheep it because these reads were tentative but half of this list knows i have a godread on wind so i didn’t think my legacy would be so easily swept aside

oh also i feel like silviu/kiiruma’s roles were kinda ?obviously? not v/v but maybe i’m just right for the wrong reasons

lastly i would just like to speak about the “okay just kill me then” or “you are a wolf pushing me” defences. as a villager none of these invocations are ever going to be conducive to 1. your survival and 2. solving the game. no one will move off you for this. you will rarely ever find a wolf for this, or convince others of your read. it just clogs up the thread, increases toxicity, decreases the willingness of people to cooperative and ultimately fosters a pro-mafia environment in general. if you can’t use coherent reasoning to defend yourself due to frustrations or something else, then focus on explaining your reads in a logical, falsifiable way. that last word is important - falsifiable - there’s no point insisting on someone being mafia/town for shaky reasons which can’t be disproven, because this will result in confirmation bias. i think the most convincing argument for a read this game was eliza being a wolf due to the eod1 wagonomics, as wolves would have surely jumped on a villager there with w/w/v wagons, and there was also some mech stuff but i guess that was more dubious. this argument just got drowned out by omgus, preflip reads and… basically nonsense. and no one could ever be grounded on what their reads really were, because people weren’t willing to work together, so this basically ties into my first point
