My name is Keiichi Maebara. I may look as though somebody just punched me in the balls, but believe it or not, life has turned around for me!
It’s the 1980’s and I recently moved to Hinamizawa. You know how most towns have a basic understanding of modern convenience? Not this one! But it’s nice, if you can get past the whole pissing in buckets thing.
This is Rena Ryūgū. A real, real something. Not exactly the brightest knife in the toolbox. She spends a lot of time in junkyards, which is charming. One person’s trash is Rena’s perverse pleasure.
Green hair here is Mion Sonozaki. Surprisingly intelligent and self-aware for somebody in this backwards town. She has this habit of using male pronouns - as for why? …I’m usually too busy staring at her to pay attention.
Rounding off my group of friends are Rika Furude and Satoko Hōjō. They’re pretty much there for the loli crowd.
So long story short, I’ve enjoyed Hinamizawa. It’s been good times. Then it all went downhill when some asshole with a camera showed up to ruin everything.
