In Polish “Working theory” is more or less meaning that it’s “Theory work in progress, used to build up further stuff on it”. I assumed it’s more or less same meaning in English, considering it comes from work memory, which is term from cognition psychology about work in progress cognition in your brain.
If anyone knows the process of validating hypothesis, that’s more or less it.
If I was misusing the phrase, lmk.

I mean, I can prove to you what it means for me. But realistically speaking I don’t think that should be an issue, cause from context it can be understood.
