this is actually pretty hard
Rev should win here. Awful to play against, stupid broken, and it’s a fucking NK. The only reason you wouldn’t vote it is to give geyde a piss poor excuse to not rand it in his setup.
Like, Cyan is bad, but it isn’t “I want to torture the host to death for randing rev” levels of bad.
I think Cyan is more capable of theoretically being balanceable without adding additional mechanics
like if you make all the scum bulletproof, and all the town bulletproof-to-Cyan, and give everyone the passive where claiming Miller lets you be added to the list as Mafia Goon, then Cyan is just an exeproof bulletproof visitor
whereas Revenant requires mechanical changes (such as a mechanic that says that if the Revenant is executed their haunt target dies)
I wonder how did Revenant make it past review.

Do I love Rev? Yes.
Do I think it’s a worse role than Cyan? Without a doubt
Do I think really either of them can be made to be balanced? No.
As I don’t think you’d make everything bulletproof as a counter to Cyan. And Rev causes interesting plays.
I don’t think rev is even that bad relative to all other roles to the list.
It changes Mafia from a game of “Who’s the scumboi” to “Okay let’s play WIFOM 20 times against Rev”

TUUMV is a legitimately workable role even if you rawpaste how it works

Compared to unkillable infinite town vig yeah it kinda isn’t.
I mean, sure Cyan can solo win the game, but Rev holds the game hostage. It is a cancer inflicted on every game it’s a part of and it needs to die.
