people posting selfies on social media when they’re hospitalized - its so unsettling to me. its not if they were there for a very long time, or they’re just getting out, or they just beat a difficult disease. but if they just got in there and they’re in there for a short time its just so unsettling to snap a selfie and post it on social media. there was this one guy, years ago, he donated blood, and he just snapped a selfie laying on the hospital bed and put a grayscale filter, and some deep / philosophical quote. i understand how he wants me to perceive him, that much is clear. and i think im making it obvious how i do. i am curious if its a thing thats genuinely >rand successful at impressing people. its just so weird

I find that kinda interesting because I’m the complete opposite.
Like, Dark and Better Call Saul are two of my favorite shows of all time, and they’re both predicated on “the audience will be invested in understanding how and why these things have happened”.
