Still nowhere near the guy on QBCord who watched a film a day for multiple years.
In the cinema?
for me it’s been mostly Ghibli Fest, but the theatrical anniversary re-release of Saw drew me and the roommates out, and I’ll also be seeing the Interstella 5555 showing in a few weeks
Not the theater - a lot of them are classic films - but it’s still nuts.
He’s still seen more stuff in theaters than I’ve seen in my entire life.
Rich boy budget of 1 million dollar see expensive film in the cinema every week haiyaaaah
Regal Crown Club moment ($23 a month, and you can see as many films as you want).
This is very much a steal for me because tickets anyway cost $20 each.
How
damn these guys are INSANE at marketing
Dedication.
I have a whole backlog of highly influential films that I need to watch at some point.
Okay so what you are experiencing are intrusive thoughts. Each time on appear, take a deep breath, acknowledge the thought exist, don’t engage with it, focus on something else. Do not engage with it.
Remember that intrusive thoughts are not controlled by you, they’re not you, they just exist, they phase into your attention and dissapear. The more you engage with them the brain thinks it’s important so they’re showing it more (a mechanism similar to how people get low self-esteem), it’s easy to give in into arguing with them, but they’re just thoughts. They are not a person, don’t argue with them, breath it in and then out.
who doesn’t
I know a guy whose Letterboxd watchlist is over 5,000 films long.
i thought that was just a meme thing
What? Intrusive thoughts?
like in the “what if I did [patently ridiculous thing]” kinda way
yeah
No, it’s actually something psychological, but I get what you mean
