it would depend on who was asking (i probably wouldn’t say yes but i would respond neutrally/affirmatively to most people because i’m a coward)
example: (oh first one was katze everyone say hi to katze)

hi katze

i was just curious, bc gender do be complicated. remember that no matter whether youre the gender you were assigned at birth, a different one, maybe smlomrwhere inbetween, msybe one sometimes and another other times, quite literally everything is valid! and it def takes a while to figure it out and feel confident in that regard

u prob know this but its worth mentioining i think

A quote I really like apropos of nothing in particular going on right now is

You don’t have know what you want to be to know that being a boy isn’t right.

Anyway not posting that in case it’s relevant to anyone. Just putting that out there.

something that helped me explore my gender was 1. Trying new pronouns (like u seem to be doing) and 2. Dressing different ways and seeing how u feel, and which ones ur happy to see urself in when u look in the mirror

the journey is personal to everyone and everybody does do it! (even cis people, though usually their exploration is a lot different ckmpared to trans people’s :joy_wolf: ). The only thing that matters is u think it reflects u as a person

Ihad the exact same thing with “I’m soooo cis but I’vehad multiple dreams about being transgender haha soweird”. The thing that helped me w/ this sort ofthing was, like, letting it not be a big deal, taking a pause on the whole “oh god what is my gender do I have to fully transition IRL that’s scary I don’t wanna do that I don’t wanna be trans that’s so much work”thing and looking at gender as a bunch of individual decisions rather than one big thing I have to opt in or out of.

I asked mysef, separately, like:

  • “Do I want to change my pronouns online (individual decision per community)”
  • “Do I want to change my pronouns IRL”
  • “Do I want to change my name”
  • “Do I want to change how I dress”
  • “Do I want to change my hair”

…etc etc et al, and then let the “bigger” questions come naturally as part of that. And my answers to the individual questions shifted as I tried things out and eventuallylanded in a place where I’m happy. And Idon’t have such issues anymore. And I don’t hve to be scared of it

There is no one big switch labelled GENDER that you have to leave in one place or another, there are many many small little things you can do and mess around with and see if you like. And if you allow yourself to freely pick and choose options you’ll likely find out your preferences a lot better than if you just force yourself to go all-or-nothing, and one day you’ll wake up and go “yeah actually everything’s where I want it to be”, whether that’s at Regular Trans or mildly gender nonconforming cis person or anything in between

Also it’s crazy easy to change your name when you’re introducing yourself to new people, sometimes I just sit there and go “wait woah my name is May like IRL all these people only know me as May”

Oh the other trick with this is that you have to distinguish between “this girl thing feels uncomfortable because I don’t like it and it’s not my thing” versus “this girl thing feels uncomfortable because I don’t feel feminine enough and it’s reminding me of that” which is non-trivial. There is no shortcut that I know of you just kinda have to know yourself for that one

i read it

it seems like a basic run-down of what autism is, and slight comparisons to mafia, which is fine

but throughout the article, despite it saying that no single autisitic person is the same, it makes a significant number of generalised statements that seems portray that everyone who is autistic share some specific traits which i’m under the belief isn’t true
