if the Nintendo switch thing is accurate it seems they made botw but for Mario kart? If that much effort was put into it then I could SORTTA see why it’s expensive but not worth it

if Nintendo sells games at like $80 brand new

but they actually reduce the price on older games like literally everybody else

that could be a net positive

I am 100% okay with a day 1 tax on games

every other platform and digital storefront sees games launch at full price, but over the next few months and years the price usually decreases to a fraction of what it launched at

if Nintendo stops their (incredibly silly) complete and total refusal to drop the price of older games, and adopts this model, then for people who don’t need every single game on day 1 they may actually end up having to spend less
