I’ve had to read scholarly papers trying to figure out my own implementations for some algorithms that don’t have existing example implementations online, and I’m pretty sure they’ve used both sigma and integral symbols lol

Like I was doing so earlier today. You can’t be afraid of that sort of stuff. Like even if you don’t want to actually do the math (you don’t have to), you need to know what it’s saying so you can convert it to code
