it was also encased in black wax which made me think it was just for halloween.
black garlic is literally a thing that exists distinct from actual garlic in that it has been aged. presumably cooking just above temperature that bacteria can survive stops bad pathogens from growing.
another thing thatās wild is how long the wax casing stops it going bad too. the cheese had a use by date of 2025 in the casing, but when opened a date of 3 days.

itās quintessential british culture where everyone immediately phones the GP bang on 8 oclock because if you donāt phone quick enough all of their appointments will be out and youāll have to phone tomorrow and do the exact same thing
