So you’re denying the allegations that you are an alien with your brain encased in glass? And that I can’t tap my finger on it to startle the brain?

Litten is my hero!!! I love you litten!!!

Okay so she did have appointments left - but only telephone ones!!

god im so very stressed out from the ritual that you’re expected to do with happy birthday wishes. its expected of you to write a different a meaningful and unique message. a lot of my message histories are with people i dont talk to at all, we just literally only wish each other happy birthday and thats all. and its expected that you need to write a new and fresh message every year. normally im like. more neurotypical compared to my fol friends but in this instance i feel on the other side of the spectrum when compared to my irl acquitances. like im just mortified by this. i cant keep coming up with messages, i feel so much pressure. i dont feel this pressure towards internet friend and westerners dont seem to care so much about birthday wishes, ive seen people say whatever like marissa said “happy b” or something to chloe and thats seen as chill whereas if i say that to someone irl they’d parse that as disrespectful and it would damage our relationship. why does it have to be so stresful. i hate rituals. i hate hate hate rituals. religious rituaions, what not. any kind. i dont like rituals, lack of individuality, expectations that u need to do something a certain way. :sob: :sob: :sob:

i see the internet people (at least ones i hang out with) as this One group of people, right. separate, secular, and the other group of people which are my irl people. Two very distinct groups. polar, polar, opposites. different humor, different importance about stuff. like one groups parses one thing as disresectful that the other doesnt and vice versa. initially it was difficult for me to adapt to both at the same time. i was confused at why they were different. like id say some jokes which i know owuld be bangers in one, i tested them out in the other and they flopped and i was frustrated because it didnt make logical sense to me. i forgot where im going with this. maybe adaptability? may said im like a memory foam. maybe. i feel like ive finally gotten the hang of getting along with every kind of person. not sure if thats necessarily something to be proud of, i feel neutral about it. it just is what it is. im just noting it. i would like to think i can be understanding of lots of people, of large circles of people outside of my personal circle but i might be tuuting my own horn there its possible. hmm yeah. indeed. uh. yeah

you cant just say that :sob:

nobody else says that so it will come across as you lack interest / you dont care about the person. its dumb but thats how it will be parsed. well im talking to myself here i dunno ur culture it could be different for you. ive only said “Happy birthday!” once and the girl reacted like i slapped her in the face. she didnt outright say it but she said like “Thank you, thank you” and we havent spoken since
