you can read it if you want but it’s hosted on the website that makes everyone except Lilith go “this is the worst formatting ever” so it might be a little hard

it’s mostly public but not all of it; if you start reading it and think you might want to keep reading it, you’ll want to try and get a full account on the website (this is not that hard, I can help you if you decide you want to), because there’s some threads that are both Important and Locked To Full Users (including some that are relevant to my characters in particular, if you happen to care about that sort of thing)

That’s not lying to make an artistic statement tho that’s just lying for fun. To be clear I’m phrasing this belief reductively and opaquely because it’s funny. What I actually mean is that if you briefly pass AI art off as human art As Part Of An Art Project In And Of Itself, To Make People Think, not for personal gain, and not to deceive people in the long-term, that’s fine, because it’s for art.

Like, example: you are in a long argument about AI art, you hand-draw an “obviously AI” piece and then AI generate an “obviously hand-drawn piece”, and you deceive the person you are arguing with into praising the AI piece and denigrating the hand-drawn piece. That’s cool cause that’s for art

You can do experiments with people it’s ok to do experiments with people. But you have to do it good, otherwise it’s unethical. If you do a “social experiment” and it’s boring and cliche I dont like you and youre bad, cause you lied to pepole for no gain. But if you do it and its good then you contributed to society more than lying harmed society so its ok

I’m even fine if people take a while to clear things up if it makes the art better. If the months-long lying project has a really good payoff I’m fine with it

uh obvious disclaimer but Actions By My Characters Are Not Necessarily Authorially Endorsed and less-obvious disclaimer that this is set in a country that until recently was literally ruled by the forces of Pathfinder-Hell and as a result the story touches on a lot of dark themes (most threads have content warnings but if that’s a dealbreaker you might as well have the deal broken before you start)

IMO lying is unethical but it’s not that strongly unethical in and of itself, so long as there’s no personal profit gained through the lie. So it’s very easy to counterbalance with moral benefit. Like your classic “white lie” just makes somebody feel a little bit better, but that’s ok, because the lie is only a little bad

Lying in higher-stakes situation is worse. If you enter a bunch of art contests with AI and make a ton of money and then say “actually it was a social experiment” then the gains from the social experiment are not enough to offset you getting a bunch of money throuhg lying. But if you post a bunch of art online wit hAI and make no money it’s fine. Even though it’s the same volume of lying it’s not the same stakes
