Solo Leveling is good.
Very much a “turn your brain off” show that has little in the way of actual character development, but A-1’s bringing their A-game with the action direction.

Kinda want them to tap into the sense of helplessness that made S1E2 so good, but I get that it goes against the power fantasy idea they’re going for.

they’re following a preset story so there will be very few scenarios where he will appear weak going onwards

my biggest issues with Civ 7 thus far

  • the UI is passable at best, often bad, and far too frequently abysmal
  • AI leaders settle in WEIRD places in a way that feels unnatural and disruptive - like why is the bro who spawned on the opposite corner of the entire continent suddenly settling all of his new cities in a haphazard, unconnected circle around my empire for NO REASON lol
  • map generation needs some work, right now Fractal is the only one that I would consider to be like good and it’s really not ideal

but like highkey that’s all fixable and once it is this game is gonna be p damn good tbh

Donțt forget your laundry

I now have reasonable opinions about D&D 2024
Such as:

  • I like some of the decisions they made, but I think they would have benefitted more from making more radical alterations to the gameplay. Spell slots were probably the thing to consider dropping from the system.
  • Casters probably shouldn’t have been able to benefit from Shield spell while benefitting from armor. I don’t know why they didn’t prevent this it was kind of a slam dunk.
  • DM’ing still feels bad. Lack of any guidance on how to process anything is only an issue in this version of D&D. 3.5 and 4e don’t have this. PF1 and PF2 don’t have this. It’s just 5e that says ‘fuck you do it yourself bitch’

Monster design is much much better but also reveal how limiting the design of the martials is

If you’d drop the spell slots then you could just do magic whenever? I am yet to play this version

Some form of mana system
