My questionâs justâŚwhy?
IPOs are for acquiring money to do something, so I need to read up on what Discord intends to do with the capital it raises.
The other possibility is that the people in charge want to leave through either an acquisition or just straight-up cashing out their equity, but Iâd like to believe that Discord will survive a bit longer.
probably to not go bankrupt, lol
canât be cheap and most users are free
nvm apparently nitro subscriptions are enough to make money, based on a quick google search
i agree IPO would be megabad for users most likely
Iâm kinda leaning towards the idea that their initial funders - I imagine VCs of some sort, need to do research to find which ones - want to exit and want the additional liquidity from an IPO to do so.

E17. The Boneturnerâs Tale. Something about a book turning people crazy. Deep lore is hidden as always, but I canât seem to put them together, or let alone remember. Michael Crew, E4 Pageturner. Lukas family and complaints from E13 Alone. The world is so intricate⌠which is why itâs all the more sad that I wonât remember them.
E18. The Man Upstairs. Man lives in flat. Hears someone banging something with nail and hammer upstairs for an hour. Banging sounds move. Upstair dude sounds like a cultist. Demon related to eyes. Meat came out of nowhere. Chat is worried about Martin.
Every comment is talking about Jack (a side characrers in this sketch)
