I am here to purpose a mafia alternative.
If you don’t feel like doing the normal mafia faction you can instead do:
Incendiary or Contagion
The Incendiary Faction have Factional Arsonist.
The Contagion Faction have Factional Poison.
A new way to play mafia.
Discuss.
Neither of these factional kill alternatives really shake up the Mafia formula in a dramatic way, and especially not if they’re known about publicly ahead of time. They only affect how town might play around with kills.
Granted, trying to figure out how the Mafia are killing could be a fun theme if it’s not publicly known about, but only hinted to in the OP.

The Cult Faction have a Factional Conversion.

The Town faction has a factional communal execution
I can work with this.

Okay, and now mash 'em all.
Either have a broken faction that does all sorts of different factional kills (e.g. attack, poison, douse + ignite) each night
Or just have a multiball with these factions.
