I’m not really sure what method is most efficient for part b. We could do this as x+iy, re^{i\theta}, or z+\bar{z}… hmm
|z|^2 = z * \bar{z}, that’s the identity I’m looking for, I suspected this’d be a z bar one because we haven’t been tested on that and it’s different but I forgot the identity so I wasn’t sure how it’d go. There we go

This is complex. Multivalued functions are fine and they don’t always use the fancy equals sign for them.

probably the proper way to say is that one branch has derivative 1 and the other has derivative -1
