I don’t believe in begrudging
The reason I asked that question is because I kind of don’t morally evaluate people like that. But I know most people do. And I wanted to know, like, “would you treat this person as a murderer”
would you begrudge a murderer
I literally just said I wouldn’t
yeah but every principle has limits
If somebody murdered people for no reason my evaluation of their present character would probably be “this person is probably dangerous to me and I don’t want to be around them” but I don’t believe in, like, evil or punishment
And therefore I don’t, like, believe that person should inherently “suffer for what they did” unless it would cause less murders in the future
well you should start: as i am evil!!
You’re so evil and I hate you so much, Atlas
Did I do a good job
it’s extremely hard to actively dislike someone for trying to save their life
yes, splendid. my evil machine is fueled.
Similarly, I don’t think I’d sacrifice my life to save other people’s in most cases, even if it would save, like, two or three people, because I do not do the morally best thing at all times
do you think danganronpa is a creative writing exercise in how to write characters you actively dislike for trying to save their life
And I wouldn’t begrudge somebody for doing the same
i’d like to believe i’d do so but i dunno until i’m in that situation
realistically if i’m in that situation i freeze up
If I can sacrifice myself to save The World. Maybe I can manage that. But like 2 or 3 people- well yeah I also freeze up, but like, if I was given time to think I’d probably preserve myself
What if they killed your dog? It would be a good movie
I morally disagree with so many movies and shows on the whole “punish those who have done wrongs for justice” thing
