that one doesn’t seem overwhelmingly difficult you just have to avoid the 3 mod 4 landmines

how do you go from there to the answer

it’s another matter to prove that every number that’s 0, 1, or 2 mod 4 is the sum of two squares but i think it can be done if you like. put your mind to it. i vaguely remember learning that in number theory

you don’t even have to do that much you just have to prove there are infinitely many cases
