if you read the thread chronologically without time stamps and assume there was an equal interval of lets arbrirartily say 5 minutes between each post then yeah, you could argue what you’re arguing here

but at the start of the game it was a spam fest

I already think tutuu is town. but I think I would be townreading her if she was mafia here, maybe. Though I think the post she made about her mindset this game was towny. I found her as town very early on in last game from the rambley introspective posts she made in that game, which no one except me seemed to care about, so I find it unlikely she’d consider a need to fake that sort of thing as mafia, especially this early. Usually players announce intention to change their playstyle when they are town, and not when they rand wolf, because they are scared that changing their playstyle will earn them wolfreads they could easily avoid by just… not doing that, but a villager has both the freedom and the desire to actually change their playstyle - since in this case tutuu’s proposed changes are only really relevant to improving her towngame - and she noted last game about how she wanted to be less chaotic, which I think especially applies here given how playing like that didn’t lead her to much success with read accuracy. I am probably jumping the gun here, so I will note the first time I see something that makes me think otherwise,

I think baker is likely to be town if tutuu is town. I’m not sure I can elaborate on why I think this. I just think they seem blissfully unaware of the futility of that push if tutuu is town, which a wolf would not have. This read is pretty dumb and sounds like TMI, so I should probably not include it, but I just don’t think a wolf has this read right now

baker - i had a townlean due to “contradiction” of saying he wont vote me and then voting me, later there was another thing - saying he’s leaving the thread but not defeating his urge to come back and post. thats a towntell. and then his push on me feels sincere. he thinks highly of me and he wants to pelt me. if he has the balls as wolf to play that hand - props to him. but i think he’s an overeager villager wanting to prove himself to the tribe

things I noticed:
zugz discourse lasts a lot longer than I expected
main proponent of the discourse continuing is through the argument between the two continuing / new people coming in / me examining the interaction. This is a very fluid focus and the lack of vote pressure between the two is also interesting. I think it’s indicative that wolves don’t see the situation as worth taking advantage of. As for individual alignments I think it’s more likely to indicate a paired scenario (which supports earlier conclusion) since there are no stakes for mafia to perform in this configuration (either mafia being on the sidelines or being the ones running the entire interaction so they can stop whenever)
I think I like arete more about this because I see a lot of information scooping rather than any agenda being pushed here. I think someone getting back into the motions would stifle at points but the perspective is surprisingly consistent in a natural way
