i usually try to sc the demon early game but only because i know my social reads are usually hot garbo and it probably is my best shot at winning as good
I know people who I play games with who explicitly try to do so and will fake claim as SC because they might be evil, or will side with evils from the get-go in pit hag games to be turned into a snake charmer and swap with the demon
this isn’t a slight against them aside from the whole siding with evils when they’re not SC thing - I try and hit the demon too it’s the fun part of snake charmer.
Have you ever seen a successful Snake Charmer win the game in a non-streamed game?
i dont side evil from the get go but fakeclaiming is insurance for your personal win in case you do accidentally hit while trying to gather information, so i think that that is part of attempting to play optimally

More often than I see the snake charmer lose yeah. and as a bonus if you die after charming you just end the game anyway
nonon I mean like they actively get seeked out by widows/spies with pit-hags or actively seek these roles out and side with them if they find them

yes but they snakecharmed going into f3 and killed the klutz and the old demon had like 5 seconds to try to convince the klutz to pick them when they were blatantly the demon and the non-sc person was blatantly the witch

one of my first demon games I got snakecharmed on set-up night and lost lol
You could resolve this entire problem by making snake charmer not droisoned when it swaps.
I struggle to see “activating hard mode” as a reward but alright. I’ve always thought of it as a punishment stopping you from winning the game of chicken.

Yes, you would have the demon going back and forth and that could be kinda goofy, but the new demon could easily just attack the snake charmer and solve that problem.
i have a very snvlike script that has snakecharmer which is meant to be played to win
i usually play snakecharmer to win i just have really bad luck with hitting the demon early on accident
Wouldn’t they just swap back and forth forever while nothing that anyone else does matters? Or at least enough for whichever one of them is good to out the evil one?
It would possibly happen yeah but the new SC demon would be able to attack immediately if they really wanted to solve that problem
It’s better than being turned into a nothing role and you know it after being robbed of being the demon it’s extremely ew
