Idk I like actually having an ability to be invested in and care about not having anything but what is really kind of hard on me I mean really.
I’m being me that’s the best I can be but I might be slow to roll for this one. I mean that being said this isn’t much different than any other game I suppose but you’ll have to bear with me anyway I’m being cautious.
to be fair I did. I’m pretty sure. But you have to bear in mind I was coming into that game fresh off of my first mafia win where I was uber-confident and thought I was the best or whatever that’s not true any more I’m back to my old self. That’s not to say I can’t be super confident and stuff I’m just not feeling it as much this game. Sometimes you just get a good read on someone and sometimes you’re kinda wandering around and I’m the latter right now.
I could try harder to fix it but I don’t really want to right now to be honest I’m comfortable with it. I’ll get off my ass and do something about it later. I know people are going to mald that I’m not being active but uhm…Cope.
im not sure a newbwolf comes up with this post lmao
depends if they have experience in any social deduction previously but eh
i also feel like a newbwolf would be too self-conscious to make a post like this. they have no concern about looking suspicious for voting someone for a non-alignment related reason
these are just a few micro things, but in general, i think prisma has been playing in an exploratory/inquisitive-enough way that is more likely to come from a newer town trying to move their way through the game than a newer wolf, who would be more careful with the sorts of things they post and more concerned about how they come across to others. i’ve seen the reasons to scumread them, and i think my reasons to townread them are stronger, so does anyone care to dispute these points?
i also viberead these posts as villagery but i don't expect people to care so much about this
currently (i.e. at start of catchup, may change later), I’m leaning town on Zorvo, I think he genuinely believes his read on me, and that he’s legitimately scared/salty that if I flip wolf people will think he was bussing, which he has no reason to worry about as a wolf
and … lean town on May but less confidently? they’ve had some thoughts that felt pretty real and some thoughts that … didn’t
can you explain your Phraze read, that’s the one I understand the least
wait but I thought you were townie earlier does that mean–
I don’t believe this is a reliable tell but I believe that Neon believes this read
fwiw I think there are circumstances where it can be fine but some of the things that Magnus later said were fake justifications meant to get reactions were like – he only came up with that justification after getting backed into a corner, if that makes sense? which makes me more sus that that wasn’t actually what he was doing
I feel like ‘even when he was tunnelling with a wrong read he was doing it in a townie way’ is not a very good argument for listening to someone. like, tunnels on villagers (done in a wolfy way) and tunnels on villagers (done in a villagery way) are equally incorrect.
confused Arete noises
you play ~regularly on MU so this is almost definitely wrong
can you explain literally any of these reasons to townread Magnus because frankly as far as I can tell 80% of your read is because he’s been being nice to you and taking your reads seriously
townreading people for analysis:
townreading people for tiny details of their turns of phrase:
(to be clear I am making fun of my own thought process on May with this)
(imo the readlist was not heavily coached but I don’t think it’s strongly townie, like imo it’s consistent with a world where they were like ‘hey what do I write’ and wolf chat was like ‘just give a couple reads, you’re new it’ll be fine’ or whatever)
okay May might just be a villager??? like this feels more like ‘fucking around trying random things in the hopes of getting something useful’ than ‘positioning to try to look villagery’
this is fully caught up:
probably town (sorted ish)
Neon
Aleph
May
Arctic
Zorvo
Jarek
Molly
idk
Lemonfairy
Aro
Phraze
Prisma
Otter
wolfy?
Magnus
Eliza
feel free to ask for more explanation on any of these
i don’t think it makes much sense to scumread jarek for this different approach when iirc he was incredibly engaged in the scumgame he’s had on this site (and in botf, i think. if you would count that)
separately i’m kind of falling for his recent posts because they feel entitled asf
Ahhhh, so sorry guys
I am hear and unfortunately I won’t be able to catch up, but I will be ISO’ing the top voters rn and see where my head is at there.
I apoligize for the inactivity and I promise I’ll get to it hehe!
If someone can also tell me how to multiquote and self ISO, that would be much appreciated!
I checked some of the posts I was quoted in and seemed to be more of a comment on my slot than a question of it. I did see some pings I was in with Prisma and it seemed like people had differing thoughts on Prisma in terms of how they would post/attempt to derive info through their “reaction tests.”
If someone is sr Prisma, could u give me tldr/reason for it please?
you seem mostly unbothered by the fact that people are calling you less engaged this game and i think a wolf would respond differently
like, it’s a concern multiple have brought up and i think a wolf in your position would feel more pressured to become more engaged after this but you’re comfortable doing your own thing and going at your own pace regardless
Also, on a very very light skim, I did like Magnus’s post and his ability to empathize esp when reading over his comments on my slot. His thought process seemed to come that from a town and didn’t seem agenda-y.
I also briefly saw an Arete scum case lol, if anyone sr Arete, can u let me know the reasons/tldr please!
I have a scum-read on you and flipping you would make me feel instant gratification for being correct or deep shame for being wrong and that’s as far as my motivation there goes.
Fair enough. Idk Entitled just sounds like a negative thing but I guess it’s not in this instance
