I was thinking more a grand betrayal situation where the High Priestess chooses the wrong option in the love triangle and then just kinda dies forever.
Though I’m not sure it qualifies as a romance novel at that point.
Maybe not. Nevertheless, the plot of Twilight involves the protagonist getting into relationships with people who are extremely dangerous.

I was going to say “I dunno I never read the book or saw the movie”, but I did see the first Twilight movie with some friends. I don’t remember a single thing about it. We were too busy laughing to pay any attention whatsoever to the plot.

Anyway, if we’re going for straight Twilight, I feel like we can do better than the High Priestess for Bella. It negates the premise of the story, but not having the Vortox be the Demon does that anyway.
