genuinely anthology makes script design so much easier (i am speaking as someone who has never designed a script)

im waiting for moll to run more Anthology things in the text game section btw

my literal experiment is #9 in the experimental queue
which given the 7 channels will be really fast

Axo is running a 1 minion BMR and I’ll be helping the newbies with the script.

Last time a 9 player BMR was played, evil won after 2 mislunches.

also 2 of the games are on hold until december so

I might get the Buddhist fabled on Small Moon Rising.

i need to come up with a reason why YBW’s voting system is better than the current voting system to persuade unofficial
@magnus @nightingale
help me make a pros and cons list rn ive got
pros

  • encourages activity, especially during the last 24h of the day

cons

  • places unwanted emphasis on being around at end of day (despite the fact you should be around for noms closing anyways)

3) This game uses an experimental voting system. Instead of normal nominations and voting, it works like this:

  • Nominations and whispers are open the entire day.
  • Players must be nominated before they may be voted on.
  • Each alive player only has one vote per day that they may use on any nominated player. You may switch this vote around freely before the deadline, but you may not vote for multiple players to be executed.
  • At the end of the day, which occurs at a predetermined and publicly known deadline, the player with the most votes is executed.
  • Players do not need a majority of votes to be executed.
  • Ties result in no execution as normal. Dead players may only vote once as normal.

this is different than YBW’s thing however i 100% thing that clocktowercord would no-exe every day if this wasnt a thing

Running plurality for BotF places less emphasis on dead votes, and it’s easier for evils to lift or mess with wagons if the good team doesn’t deal with it. It also makes vote-related evils (namely the Vortox) way less threatening.

Those are other cons. Pros are that it’s way simpler to keep track for the host and other players, and it can give players more individual control over the execution rather than just voting with the majority, and then voting on any vanities as well. Now players can pick and choose.

this is NOT a good thing for clocktower cord

pros:

  • less info to be processed, allowing people to make time-sensitive decisions faster and encourages activity without requiring people to put tons of effort into understanding the game state
  • de-emphasizes vote-lock-gaming strategies which often require specific non-you people to vote in a certain way to achieve your goal, often resulting in harrying other people and requiring all players to be on the same page using strategies that aren’t simply communicated in the votecount, which is difficult especially on discord as a platform

also, especially if youre running a vortox script, i heavily recommend randomising ties and adding a “no-exe” nomination option. This mitigates the ability for the evil team to simply cheese a win by all being online and votetying at the last second.
