Confirming a good player and the Pacifist, or confirming an evil if they aren’t saved, is arguably worth the trade-off for losing a safety net. I like it.
So it could only activate once anyway.
To be fair, shooting into 3/4 Demon candidates at the end of the game is quite typical.
hmm actually town just always nominates and executes day 1 if someone claims paci. either they prove the paci is lying or confirm 2 people
probably need a drunk/poisoner/marionette to balance it out
Or that a Minion was executed D1.
You could test the Pacifist directly.
true. but why do that when you can confirm two people
the paci and the person you execute
Because that’s the bait.
then you found a minion between the person you just executed or the paci
free seamstress ping
Which is fine.
Ah you’re contemplating playing BoTC again?
Hmmm
I think the problem here is evaluating whether or not its worth the pacifist confirm for good potentially no longer being able to make a single mistake
Is this script fine for longform on this site? It’s deviated from Church & State.
(Utilises homebrew.)
Summary
Possible Townsfolk Characters Huntress You start knowing the nearest Minion character & whether it’s clockwise or anticlockwise from you. Mathematician Each night, you learn how many players’ abilities worked abnormally (since dawn) due to another character’s ability. Dreamer Each night, choose a player (not yourself or Travellers): you learn 1 good & 1 evil character, 1 of which is correct. Town Crier Each night*, you learn if a Minion nominated today. Tactician Each night*, choose 2 living players: learn who of them it’d benefit the Demon most to kill tonight. Gossip Each day, you may make a public statement. Tonight, if it was true, a player dies. Haruspex Once per game, at night, choose a player: chosen Demons swap characters with a living Minion (if able). Inventor Once per game, during the day, privately design your ability: learn a condition. When met, you gain that ability. Grandmaster Once per game, during the day, visit the Storyteller to learn your most important ally, but not why they’re important. Pacifist Executed good players might not die. Steeplejack If you die at night, choose 2 “You start knowing” characters & get their info. Juggler On your 1st day, publicly guess up to 5 players’ characters. That night, you learn how many you got correct. Silversmith While 3 live (not Travelers), you decide who is executed. The 1st time the Demon chooses you, they must choose someone else instead.
Possible Outsider Characters Tinker You might die at any time. Plague Doctor If you die, the Storyteller gains a not-in-play Minion ability. Moonchild When you learn that you died, publicly choose 1 alive player. Tonight, if it was a good player, they die. Turncoat If you are the most “mad” about wanting to execute the Demon player, you become evil tonight & learn who the Demon is.
Possible Minion Characters Huli Jing You start knowing 5 out-of-play characters. Each night, choose 1 of them: until dusk, gain its’ ability & you might register as it would. Devil’s Advocate Each night, choose a living player (different to last night): if executed tomorrow, they don’t die. Harpy Each night, choose 2 players: tomorrow, the 1st player is mad that the 2nd is evil, or both might die. Spectre Each night*, choose up to 2 good characters: you & the Demon register falsely to those abilities (if they’re in play). Assassin Once per game, at night*, choose a player: they die, even if for some reason they could not.
Possible Demon Characters Vigormortis Each night*, choose a player: they die. Minions you kill keep their ability & poison 1 Townsfolk neighbor. [-1 Outsider] Legion Each night*, a player might die. Executions fail if only evil voted. You register as a Minion too. [Most players are Legion] Trizkedek Each night*, choose 3 players: 1 is poisoned until dusk & 1 dies. If you added an Outsider, choose 1 instead. [-1 or +1 Outsider]
That’s an easy character to play as. Just become the Snake Charmer.
I suppose that’s an option? I was more concerned about the script holistically.
I genuinely think of all characters, the Pacifist might be a bit broken. It’s 100% just going to solve a Legion game if its in it, and even outside it can get huuuuuge information since the only other explanation for a survived exe is DA.
Gossip with only Assassin and Tinker to cover it is also very much on the stronger side. (Moonchild does not count as cover its pretty obvious)
The Spectre doesn’t really fit I don’t think. The amount of information it can obscure is middling at best.
I’m… also unsure on the effectiveness of Huli Jing, as it will struggle to pull a lot of utility from most characters that aren’t Haruspex or Silversmith.
Triz +1 quite literally only poisons the Steeplejack’s info. The steeplejack is very, very powerful here, but it’s still something to keep in mind.
Man
You have the power to literally create your own ability at your fingertips, and you choose snake charmer?
Thought
Turncoat in a Legion game is very stupid and also hilarious
