You end up with 6 left over if you divide 666 by 20. Picture if you had 666 apples and had to divide them equally between 20 friends without cutting them at all. Everyone would get 33 apples with 6 apples left over. The remainder is always a whole number.

Ever heard of long division? You literally can’t have a remainder without division. A remainder is literally what’s left over when you divide two numbers.
