Remainders are used for when you haven’t learned about decimals yet
Decimals are used for when you haven’t learned about irrational numbers yet
Irrational numbers are used for when you haven’t learned about remainders yet

They literally teach it in elementary school that way.
Basically we’re using two different types
the cool and cute way (I’m using)
and the boring big long word way called Euclidean Division (actual word) that your using
