BotF XVI - Calm Before the Storm - Shattered Futures [Starseekers Win]

Why did I think Eliza was the Cerenovus, even after Jarek said the Pit Hag was still alive?
Mainly because she completely gave up on defending herself while she was here.

Why wasn’t Jarek added to ‘Lil Monsta chat?

proud to say this is one of the most bullshit endings to any botf thus far

jarek was added to lil monsta chat on night 4

It’s somehow the most and least bullshit I’ve ever seen out of an ending and thats saying something

‘Lil Monsta not killing a player is a rulebreak, and saying a dead player was killed doesn’t hold up if we’re being consistent with other rules, by the way. But we can handwave that ‘cause evil Atheist.

Wasn’t ‘Lil Monsta added n3?

Lil Monsta can in fact sink on dead players, this is a ruling we can derive from the Gossip

I feel like if a Minion doesn’t entirely get what happened, something went wrong.

Negating the point of Gossip, I see.

yeah atheist was sober at the time so it doesnt really matter
we can say lil monsta killed eliza last night

i agree most of the time you shouldnt sink on dead but like
if theres 3 living players you absolutely should sink on dead lol

What’s your review on Good and Evil gameplay?

I feel like that’s the difference between Legion and ‘Lil Monsta, though.

Like, here’s the Legion text:

“Each night*, a player might die. Executions fail if only evil voted. You register as a Minion too. [Most players are Legion]”

And here’s the ‘Lil Monsta text:

“Each night, Minions choose who babysits Lil’ Monsta’s token & “is the demon”. A player dies each night*. [+1 Minion]”

This just means Legion can actively not kill

Remember that every Legion has this ability, so you’re invoking that might a lot more often than you’d think.

Storytellers control the kills with either Demon in play. It just reads to me like the difference is that Legion may or may not kill a player, whereas a ‘Lil Monsta must kill. And killing doesn’t apply to the same rules as execution.

I’m arguing semantics here.

i think good overall’s main problem was just being complacent
the three good executions basically just sailed through with zero resistance which could have been red flags
magnus also didn’t play careful with nominations in f4 with potentially multiple evils alive, i think that if he didn’t have faith in marluna and made ybw/mist nominate her instead, then good could have won
like besides that, every single time good loses in SNV its because they didn’t thoroughly consider all the worlds (mostly ybw!evil)

i think evil’s largest problem was lack of coordination and in-fighting w/r/t how they wanted to play the game
mist liked having control over her place in the entire game which… did not mesh well with the absolute balls of chaos that were both of her minions
lack of coordination between jarek claiming mutant, ybw making mutant, mist killing squirrel hit hard. if like, any of that did not happen then evil would have absolutely sailed to the win probably
and the infighting on n3 between mist and ybw over whether they wanted the atheist wincon could have gone better

we used atheist to monk protect you on night 4

I swear I called YBW socially evil during D3, but I couldn’t figure out the mechanics of that so I dropped it. And Eliza being Minion made so much sense… nooo…
