Well usually it’s like. If you already have a Slayer who’s shot someone, and a new Slayer is made somehow, why shouldn’t they get the 1-shot ability? This case is strange because the role itself is what creates the dupe, but that’s why similar abilities in the base game say “the first X per game this Y becomes Z”. The homebrew creator didn’t know this.

im trying to figure out a way to say it without sounding accusatory since i just got here, but –
i feel like since BoTC is curated by the storytellers its kinda partially up to them to realize those things in advance
whether or not they balance around ir being ruled as written or as “intended” is up to them tho and i might have missed some context where you guys noticed that pregame and rolled with it and just underestimated it
either way the homebrew creator MADE A MISTAKE and deserves the death penalty ofc
