BotSCP - Special Containment Procedures (4/12)

That’s fine. It’s just some discussion which will probably lead to my death. I’m fine with it.

I gotta say though: It is darn confusing who has nominated whom without the spreadsheet. I miss the old ways of nominations.

And by this I meant the “cursed way of nomination”. IDK what y’all were complaining about; that thing was easier for me to follow than the current format.

All I see are just normal players voting multiple people. Who would keep in check who were nominated or not? If someone has zero votes, does that mean they were never nominated? How can “people who never bother to factcheck” know if someone’s vote is valid or not? What prevents someone from nominating in the last hour, forming a CFD?

This “freedom”… it only gives me headaches.

what even is the new way

I never nominate in BOTC lol

could you please quote when i said this? i think you’re mistaken, if what you quoted was supposed to mean that: i meant what i said above

You either force everyone (incl. me) to be diligent, or you design a system where everyone (incl. me) could be lazy.
The current system is neither of those.

As of now, the only way for a player to know if a vote is valid or not is through the host’s VC, because at least they have to manually factcheck everything.

i don’t think i have too much left to say today

if we don’t wanna kill mistyx, i’d prefer kiiruma to go over compared to zone. i don’t especially want to either clog thread or make this game solely about my opinion, so you’re all free to discuss whether or not you agree

but do remember to vote, please. no-exe is terrible on this script

i’ll be back around eod so i can lock in my visiting choice

Read OP. It used to be /nominate X, but now it’s “for each player, their first vote is their nomination”.

Except players can only nominate and be nominated once per day, so -if I’m understanding this correctly- any additional first-votes are invalid nominations.

Nothing in the OP says whether the invalid nomination is refunded or not, so “hypothetically speaking” -with the current description- it is possible to only have one valid nomination in the day.

(Oh, and the loophole above also counts to Travellers, so AFAICR at least two people have wasted their nominations on Atlas.)

VOTE: Icetfeelspain
VOTE: Kiiruma
VOTE: Zone

Oh. Righto.

UNVOTE

I am either voting Mistyx or no one.

My nomination may have been wasted on Icet, but I ain’t wasting my votes. Y’all have mech as powers; I have my votes as my sole power.

Traveller rules are different to normal nominations.

Zone is good kill. Ive heard of a potential cc to a shugenja anyway if thats whats zones claiming. Good night.

…wait. This is broken.
The intent is probably “BotF rule immunity”, but the writing says “immunity to any rules”.

…that includes the Forum Game Rules.

Why is there no timer anywhere?

if we exe kii / zone we can get a fourth person to nom for TC

I believe magnus intends it to mean that they don’t count as a player. If there’s 3 “players” and a traveller in the game alive, it’s final 3. If 1 of those 3 players dies the game goes to 2 “real players” and the traveller isn’t considered.

The traveller IS considered in the instance that they are GOOD and there are 3 “real” evil players as the last 3 living people - the game would usually end in that instance as no evil player is going to throw the game and kill the demon, but since a good player is alive and can still nominate…

Nonetheless no if you break any normal rules as a traveller you aren’t going to have diplomatic immunity :sob:
